Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: A surah of the Quran containing thirty verses will intercede its reader till he will be forgiven. That is: Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the sovereignty (Surah 67).

حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبَّاسٍ الْجُشَمِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سُورَةٌ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ ثَلَاثُونَ آيَةً تَشْفَعُ لِصَاحِبِهَا حَتَّى يُغْفَرَ لَهُ:‏‏‏‏ تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ .

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: قرآن کی ایک سورۃ جو تیس آیتوں والی ہے اپنے پڑھنے والے کی سفارش کرے گی یہاں تک کہ اس کی مغفرت ہو جائے اور وہ «تبارك الذي بيده الملك» ہے ۔

Narrated Amr ibn al-As: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم taught me fifteen prostrations while reciting the Quran, including three in al-Mufassal and two in Surah al-Hajj. Abu Dawud said: Abu al-Darda has reported eleven prostrations from the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم, but chain of this tradition is weak.

Narrated Uqbah ibn Amir: I said to the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم: Are there two prostrations in Surah al-Hajj? He replied: Yes; if anyone does not make two prostrations, he should not recite them.

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم did not make a prostration at any verse in al-Mufassal from the time he moved to Madina.

This tradition has also been transmitted by Zaid bin Thabit through a different chain of narrators to the same effect. Abu Dawud said: Zaid was imam (in a prayer) and he did not make prostration.

Narrated Abdullah (bin Masud): The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم recited Surah al-Najm and prostrated himself. No one remained there who did not prostrate (along with him). A man from the people took a handful of pebbles or dust and raised it to his face saying: This is enough for me. Abdullah (bin Masud) said: I later saw him killed as an infidel.
