Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar: Yasar, the client of Ibn Umar, said: Ibn Umar saw me praying after the break of dawn. He said: O Yasar, the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم came to us while we were offering this prayer. He (the Prophet) said: Those who are present should inform those who are absent: Do not offer any prayer after (the break of) dawn except two rak'ahs.
حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا قُدَامَةُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي عَلْقَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْيَسَارٍ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ رَآنِي ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَأَنَا أُصَلِّي بَعْدَ طُلُوعِ الْفَجْرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا يَسَارُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا وَنَحْنُ نُصَلِّي هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لِيُبَلِّغْ شَاهِدُكُمْ غَائِبَكُمْ لَا تُصَلُّوا بَعْدَ الْفَجْرِ إِلَّا سَجْدَتَيْنِ .
عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کے غلام یسار کہتے ہیں کہ   مجھے ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے فجر طلوع ہونے کے بعد نماز پڑھتے دیکھا تو فرمایا: یسار! رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم باہر نکل کر آئے، اور ہم یہ نماز پڑھ رہے تھے، اس وقت آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تم میں سے موجود لوگ غیر حاضر لوگوں کو بتا دیں کہ فجر ( طلوع ) ہونے کے بعد فجر کی دو سنتوں کے علاوہ اور کوئی نماز نہ پڑھو ۔

He (Ibn Umar) permitted to pray two rak'ahs after the Asr prayer. Abu Dawud said: I heard Yahya bin Main say: The correct name of the narrator Abu Shuaib is the Shuaib. Shubah made a mistake in narrating his name.
