Narrated Imran ibn Husayn: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم led them in prayer and forgot something, so he made prostrations and uttered the tashahhud, then gave the salutation.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ فَارِسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِي أَشْعَثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْخَالِدٍ يَعْنِي الْحَذَّاءَ،‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى بِهِمْ فَسَهَا فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ تَشَهَّدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ .

عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے لوگوں کو نماز پڑھائی اور آپ بھول گئے تو آپ نے دو سجدے کئے پھر تشہد پڑھا پھر سلام پھیرا۔

Umm Salamah said; When the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم gave the salutation, he stayed for a while. By this people thought that women should return earlier than men.

Abdullah (bin Masud) said; One of you should not give a share from his prayer to the devil, that he does not turn away expect to his right side. I saw the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم often turning away to his left side. the narrator Umarah said: I came to Madina afterwards and saw that the houses of the prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم were (built) in the left.

Ibn Umar reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: Offer some of your prayers in your houses, and do not make them graves.

Narrated Zayd ibn Thabit: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: The prayer a man offers in his house is more excellent than his prayer in this mosque of mine except obligatory prayer.

Anas said: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم and his Companions used to pray in the direction of Jerusalem. When the following verse was revealed: “ So turn thy face towards the inviolable mosque”; and Ye (O Muslims), wheresoever ye may be, turn your face towards it” (ii. 144), a man passed by the people of Banu Salamah. He called them while they were bowing in the morning prayer facing Jerusalem: Lo, the qiblah (direction of prayer) has been changed towards the Kaabah. He called them twice. So they turned their faces towards the Kaabah while they were bowing.
