Anas reported: The Apostle of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: Complete the bowing and prostration well. By Allah, I see you behind my back as to how you bow and prostrate or when you bow and prostrate.

حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو غَسَّانَ الْمِسْمَعِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، كِلَاهُمَا عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «أَتِمُّوا الرُّكُوعَ وَالسُّجُودَ فَوَاللهِ، إِنِّي لَأَرَاكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ ظَهْرِي إِذَا مَا رَكَعْتُمْ، وَإِذَا مَا سَجَدْتُمْ» وَفِي حَدِيثِ سَعِيدٍ إِذَا رَكَعْتُمْ وَإِذَا سَجَدْتُمْ

۔ شعبہ نے کہا : میں نے قتادہ سے سنا ، وہ حضرت انس بن مالک ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ سے روایت کر رہے تھے کہ نبیﷺ نے فرمایا : ’’ رکوع اور سجدہ پوری طرح کیا کرو ، اللہ کی قسم! میں تمہیں اپنے پیچھے ( بھی ) دیکھتا ہوں ۔ ‘ ‘ ( بلکہ ) غالباً آپ نے اس طرح فرمایا : ’’ جب تم رکوع اور سجدہ کرتے ہو تو میں تمہیں اپنی پیٹھ پیچھے بھی دیکھتا ہوں ۔ ‘ ‘

Anas reported: The Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) one day led us in the prayer. and when he completed the Prayer he turned his face towards us and said: 0 People, I am your Imam, so do not precede me in bowing and prostration and in standing and turning (faces, i. e. In pronouncing salutation), for I see you in front of me and behind me, and then said: By Him in Whose hand Is the life of Muhammad, if you could see what I see, you would have laughed little and wept much more. They said: What did you see, Messenger of Allah? He replied: (I saw) Paradise and Hell.

This hadith is narrated by Anas with another chain of transmitters, and in the hadith transmitted by Jarir there is no mention of turning (faces) .

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: Does the man who lifts his head ahead of the Imam (from prostration) not fear that Allah may change his head into the head of an ass?

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: Does the man who lifts his head before the Imam not fear that Allah may change his face into that of an ass?

This hadith has been narrated by Abu Huraira by another chain of transmitters except for the words narrated by Rabi' b. Muslim: Allah may make his face like the face of an ass.
