Aba Talha reported: When it was the Day of Badr and Allah's Apostle ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) had gained victory over them (the Meccans), he commanded more than twenty persons, and in another hadith these are counted as twenty-four persons, from the non-believers of the Quraish to be thrown into the well of Badr. The rest of the hadith is the same.
حَدَّثَنِي يُوسُفُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الْمَعْنِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ ح و حَدَّثَنِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ ذَكَرَ لَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ قَالَ لَمَّا كَانَ يَوْمُ بَدْرٍ وَظَهَرَ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمَرَ بِبِضْعَةٍ وَعِشْرِينَ رَجُلًا وَفِي حَدِيثِ رَوْحٍ بِأَرْبَعَةٍ وَعِشْرِينَ رَجُلًا مِنْ صَنَادِيدِ قُرَيْشٍ فَأُلْقُوا فِي طَوِيٍّ مِنْ أَطْوَاءِ بَدْرٍ وَسَاقَ الْحَدِيثَ بِمَعْنَى حَدِيثِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ
  عبد الاعلی اور روح بن عبادہ نے سعید بن ابی عروبہ سے انھوں نے قتادہ سے روایت کی ، انھوں نے کہا : ہمیں حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے حضرت ابو طلحہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے ( سن کر ) بیان کیا ، انھوں نے کہا : جب بدر کا دن تھا اور نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان پر فتح حاصل فرمائی تو آپ نے قریش کے بڑے سرداروں میں سے بیس افراد کے بارے میں حکم دیا ۔ اور روح ( بن عبادہ ) کی حدیث میں ہے کہ چوبیس افراد کے بارے میں ( حکم دیا ) تو انھیں بدر کے پتھروں سے بنے ہوئے کنوؤں میں سے ایک کنویں میں ڈال دیا گیا پھر انھوں نے حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے ثابت کی روایت کردہ حدیث کے مطابق حدیث بیان کی ۔

A'isha reported that Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: He who is taken to account on the Day of Resurrection is in fact put to torment. I said: Has Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, not said this: 'He will be made subject to an easy reckoning (Ixxxiv. 8)? Thereupon he said: (What it implies) is not the actual reckoning, but only the presentation of one's deeds to Him. He who is thoroughly examined in reckoning is put to torment.

A'isha reported Allah's Apostle ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: Everyone who is reckoned thoroughly is undone. I said: Allah's Messenger, has Allah not called (reckoning) as easy reckoning? Thereupon he said.. It implies only presenta- tion of (one's deeds to Him), but if one is thoroughly examined in reckoning, he in fact is undone.
