The hadlth has been narrated on the authority of 'Abd al-A'la b. Hammad with the same chain of transmitters.
قَالَ أَبُو أَحْمَدَ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زَنْجُويَةَ الْقُرَشِيُّ الْقُشَيْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ النَّرْسِيُّ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ
  محمد بن زنجویہ قشیری نے کہا : ہمیں عبدالاعلیٰ بن حماد نرسی نے اسی سند کے ساتھ ( یہی ) حدیث بیان کی ۔

Abu Huraira reported lie heard Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying that a servant committed a sin. The rest of the hadith is the same, but there is a slight variation of wording.

Abu Musa reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying that Allah, the Exalted and Glorious, Stretches out His Hand during the night so that the people may repent for the fault committed from dawn till dusk and He stretches out His Hand during the day so that the people may repent for the fault committed from dusk to dawn. (He would accept repentance) before the sun rises in the west (before the Day of Resurrection).
