A'isha reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: A believer does not undergo (the trouble) of running a thorn or more than that when Allah effaces his sins.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا تُصِيبُ الْمُؤْمِنَ شَوْكَةٌ فَمَا فَوْقَهَا إِلَّا قَصَّ اللَّهُ بِهَا مِنْ خَطِيئَتِهِ
  محمد بن بشر نے کہا : ہمیں ہشام نے اپنے والد ( عروہ ) سے حدیث بیان کی ، انہوں نے حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت کی ، کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " ایک مومن کو جب بھی کوئی کانٹا چبھتا ہے یا اس سے بڑھ کر کوئی تکلیف ہوتی ہے تو اللہ تعالیٰ اس کی وجہ سے اس کا ایک گناہ مٹا دیتا ہے ۔ "

Abu Huraira reported that when this verse was revealed: Whoever does evil will be requited for it , and when this was conveyed to the Muslims they were greatly perturbed. Thereupon Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: Be moderate and stand firm in trouble that falls to the lot of a Muslim (as that) is an expiation for him; even stumbling on the path or the pricking of a thorn (are an expiation for him). Muslim said that 'Umar b. Abd al-Rahman Muhaisin was from amongst the people of Mecca.
