Abu Huraira reported that a person said: Allah's Messenger, who amongst the people is most deserving of my good treatment? He said: Your mother, again your mother, again your mother, then your father, then your nearest relatives according to the order (of nearness).
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ الْقَعْقَاعِ عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَجُلٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَنْ أَحَقُّ النَّاسِ بِحُسْنِ الصُّحْبَةِ قَالَ أُمُّكَ ثُمَّ أُمُّكَ ثُمَّ أُمُّكَ ثُمَّ أَبُوكَ ثُمَّ أَدْنَاكَ أَدْنَاكٍَ
  فضیل نے عمارہ بن قعقاع سے ، انہوں نے ابوزرعہ سے ، انہوں نے حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : ایک شخص نے پوچھا : اللہ کے رسول! لوگوں میں سے ( میری طرف سے ) حسن معاشرت کا سب سے زیادہ حقدار کون ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " تمہاری ماں ، پھر تمہاری ماں ، پھر تمہاری ماں ، پھر تمہارا باپ ، پھر جو تمہارا زیادہ قریبی ( رشتہ دار ) ہو ، ( پھر جو اس کے بعد ) تمہارا قریبی ہو ۔ " ( اسی ترتیب سے آگے حق دار بنیں گے ۔ )

Abu Huraira reported: A person came to Allah's Apostle ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ). The rest of the hadith is the same as transmitted by jarir but with this addition: By your father, you would get the information.

He said: Yes. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: You should put in your best efforts (in their) service.

Yazid b. Abu Habib reported that Na'im, the freed slave of Umm Salama, reported to him that 'Abdullah b. 'Amr b. 'As said: There came to Allah's Apostle ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) a person and said: I owe allegiance to you for migration and Jihad seeking reward only from Allah. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Is one from amongst your parents living? He said: Yes, of course, both are living. He further asked: Do you want to seek reward from Allah? He said: Yes. Thereupon Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: Go back to your parents and accord them benevolent treatment.
