Zaid b. Arqam reported that Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: O Allah,, grant forgiveness to the Ansar, the offspring of the Ansar and the offspring of the offspring of the Ansar.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «اللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِلْأَنْصَارِ، وَلِأَبْنَاءِ الْأَنْصَارِ، وَأَبْنَاءِ أَبْنَاءِ الْأَنْصَارِ»

محمد بن جعفر اور عبد الرحمٰن بن مہدی نے کہا : ہمیں شعبہ نے قتادہ سے حدیث بیان کی ، انھوں نے نضر بن انس سے انھوں نے حضرت زید بن راقم رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ( حنین کی غنیمتیں تقسیم کرنے کے بعد انصار کو خطبہ دیتے ہو ئے ) فر ما یا : " اے اللہ !انصار کی مغفرت فر ما ، انصار کے بیٹوں کی مغفرت فرما ، انصار بیٹوں کے بیٹوں کی مغفرت فر ما! "

Anas reported that Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) sought forgiveness for the Ansar and he said: I think (he also sought forgiveness) for the children of the Ansar and the slaves and the freed men of the Ansar. I have no doubt about it.

Anas reported that Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) saw children and women of the Ansar coming back from a wedding feast. Allah's Apostle ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) stood up motionless (as a mark of respect) and said: O Allah, (bear witness) (and addressing the Ansar), said: You are dearest to me amongst people, (and said: O Allah (bear witness) (and addressing the Ansar), said: You are dearest to me amongst people. And he meant Ansar.

Anas b. Malik reported that a woman from the Ansar came to Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) and Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) stood aside with her and said: By Him in Whose Hand is my life, you are dearest to me amongst the people. He repeated it thrice.

Anas b. Malik reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: The Ansar are my family and my trusted friends. and the people would increase in number whereas they (the Ansar) would become less and less, so appreciate the deeds of those from amongst them who do good and overlook their failings.
