Abdullah b. Zubair reported on the Day of the Battle of the Trench: I and Umar b. Abu Salama were with women folk in the fort of Hassan (b. Thabit). He at one time leaned for me and I cast a glance and at anothertime I leaned for him and he would see and I recognised my father as he rode on his horse with his arms towards the tribe of Quraizah. 'Abdullah b. 'Urwa reported from Abdullah b. Zubair: I made a mention of that to my father, whereupon he said: My son, did you see me (on that occasion)? He said: Yes. Thereupon he said: By Allah, Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) addressed me saying: I would sacrifice for thee my father and my mother.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ الْخَلِيلِ، وَسُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، كِلَاهُمَا عَنِ ابْنِ مُسْهِرٍ، قَالَ: إِسْمَاعِيلُ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ أَنَا وَعُمَرُ بْنُ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ مَعَ النِّسْوَةِ فِي أُطُمِ حَسَّانَ، فَكَانَ يُطَأْطِئُ لِي مَرَّةً فَأَنْظُرُ، وَأُطَأْطِئُ لَهُ مَرَّةً فَيَنْظُرُ، فَكُنْتُ أَعْرِفُ أَبِي إِذَا مَرَّ عَلَى فَرَسِهِ فِي السِّلَاحِ، إِلَى بَنِي قُرَيْظَةَ. قَالَ: وَأَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، قَالَ: فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِأَبِي فَقَالَ: وَرَأَيْتَنِي يَا بُنَيَّ؟ قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: أَمَا وَاللهِ لَقَدْ جَمَعَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَوْمَئِذٍ أَبَوَيْهِ، فَقَالَ: «فَدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي»

علی بن مسہر نے ہشام بن عروہ سے انھوں نے اپنے والد سے ، انھوں نے حضرت عبد اللہ بن زبیر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی کہا : میں اور حضرت عمر بن ابی سلمہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ جنگ خندق کے دن عورتوں کے ساتھ حضرت حسان رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کے قلعے میں تھے کبھی وہ میرے لیے کمر جھکا کر کھڑے ہو جا تے اور میں ( ان کی کمر پر کھڑا ہو کر مسلمانوں کے لشکر کو ) دیکھ لیتا کبھی میں کمر جھکا کر کھڑا ہو جا تا اور وہ دیکھ لیتے ۔ میں نے اس وقت اپنے والد کو پہچان لیا تھا جب وہ اپنے گھوڑے پر ( سوار ہو کر ) بنو قریظہ کی طرف جا نے کے لیے گزرے ۔ ( ہشام بن عروہ نے ) کہا : مجھے عبد اللہ بن عروہ نے حضرت عبد اللہ بن زبیر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے ( روایت کرتے ہو ئے ) بتا یا کہا : میں نے یہ بات اپنے والد کو بتا ئی تو انھوں نے کہا : میرے بیٹے !تم نے مجھے دیکھا تھا ؟ میں نے کہا : ہاں انھوں نے کہا : اللہ کی قسم! اس روز رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے میرے لیے اپنے ماں باپ دونوں کا ایک ساتھ ذکر کرتے ہو ئے کہا : تھا " میرے ماں باپ تم پر قربان ! "

Abdullah b. Zubair reported: When it was the Day of the Battle of the Ditch I and 'Umar b. Salama were in the fort in which there were women, i. e. the wives of Allah's Apostle ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) ; the rest of the hadith is the same.

Abu Huraira reported: Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) was upon the mountain of Hira, ' and there were along with him Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman. 'Ali, Talha, 'Zubair, that the mountain stirred; thereupon Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: Be calm, there is none upon you but a Prophet, a Fiddle (the testifier of truth) and a Martyr.

Abu Huraira reported that Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) was on the mountain of Hira' that it stirred; thereupon Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: Hira! be calm, for there is none upon you but a Prophet, a Siddiq, a Shahid, and there were upon it Allah's Prophet ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ), Abu Bakr, 'Umar, Uthman, 'Ali, Talha, Zubair, Sa'd b. Abi Waqqas (Allah be pleased witli them).

Hisham reported on the authority of his father ('Urwa b. Zubair) that A'isha said: BY Allah, both fathers of yours are amongst those who have been men. tioned in this verse: Those who responded to the call of Allah and the Messenger after the misfortune had fallen upon thein .

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Hishan through the same chain of transmitters but with this addition (that by both fathers of yours) he meant Abu Bakr and Zubair.

Urwa reported: 'Aisha said to me: Your fathers (Zubair and Abu Bakr) were amongst those about whom (it has been revealed): Those who responded to the call of Allah and His Messenger after the misfortune had fallen upon them.
