Abu Ayyub reported: The Apostle of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: Whenever you go to the desert, neither turn your face nor turn your back towards the Qibla while answering the call of nature, but face towards the east or the west. Abu Ayyub said: When we came to Syria we found that the latrines already built there were facing towards the Qibla. We turned our faces away from them and begged forgiveness of the Lord. He said: Yes.
وَحَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ ح، قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِسُفْيَانَ بْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، سَمِعْتَ الزُّهْرِيَّ، يَذْكُرُ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ اللَّيْثِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِذَا أَتَيْتُمُ الْغَائِطَ فَلَا تَسْتَقْبِلُوا الْقِبْلَةَ، وَلَا تَسْتَدْبِرُوهَا بِبَوْلٍ وَلَا غَائِطٍ، وَلَكِنْ شَرِّقُوا أَوْ غَرِّبُوا» قَالَ أَبُو أَيُّوبَ: فَقَدِمْنَا الشَّامَ فَوَجَدْنَا مَرَاحِيضَ قَدْ بُنِيَتْ قِبَلَ الْقِبْلَةِ، فَنَنْحَرِفُ عَنْهَا وَنَسْتَغْفِرُ اللهَ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ
  زہیر بن حرب اور ابن نمیر دونوں نے کہا ، ہمیں سفیان بن عیینہ نے حدیث سنائی ، نیز یحییٰ بن یحییٰ نے ہمیں حدیث سنائی ( الفاظ انہی کے ہیں ) کہا : میں نے سفیان بن عیینہ سے پوچھا : کیا آپ نے زہری سے سنا کہ انہوں نے عطاء بن یزید لیثی سے ، انہوں نے حضرت ابوایوب سے روایت کی کہ نبی ﷺ نے فرمایا : ’’جب تم قضائے حاجت کی جگہ پر آؤ تو نہ قبلے کی طرف منہ کرو اور نہ اس کی طرف پشت کرو ، پیشاب کرنا ہو یا پاخانہ ، بلکہ مشرق یا مغرب کی طرف منہ کیا کرو ۔ ‘ ‘ ابو ایوب ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ نے کہا : ہم شام گئے تو ہم نے بیت الخلا قبلہ رخ بنے ہوئے پائے ، ہم اس سے رخ بدلتے اور اللہ سے معافی طلب کرتے تھے ؟ ( سفیان نے ) کہا : ہاں ۔

Abu Huraira said: When any one amongst you squats for answering the call of nature, he should neither turn his face towards the Qibla nor turn his back towards it.

Wasi' b. Habban reported: I was offering my prayer in the mosque and Abdullah b. Umar was sitting there reclining with his back towards the Qibla. After completing my prayer. I went to him from one side. Abdullah said: People say when you go to the latrine, you should neither turn your face towards the Qibla nor towards Bait-ul-Maqdis. 'Abdullah said (farther): I went up to the roof of the house and saw the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) squatting on two bricks for relieving himself with his face towards Bait-al-Maqdis.

Abu Qatada reported it from his father: The Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: None of you should hold penis with his right hand while urinating, or wipe himself with his right hand in privy and should not breathe into the vessel (from which he drinks).

Abu Qatada reported it from his father that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: When anyone amongst you enters the privy he should not touch his penis with his right hand.
