Asma' reported: I performed the household duties of Zubair and he had a horse; I used to look after it. Nothing was more burdensome for me than looking after the horse I used to bring grass for it and looked after it, then I got a servant as Allah's Apustle ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) had some prisoners of war in his possession. He gave me a female servant. She (the female servant) then began to look after the horse and thus relieved me of this burden. A person came and he said: Mother of 'Abdullah, I am a destitute person and I intend that I should start business under the shadow of your house. I (Asma') said: If I grant you permission, Zubair may not agree to that, so you come and make a demand of it when Zubair is also present there. He came accordingly find said: Mother of 'Abdullah. I am a destitute person. I intend to start t mall business in the shadow of your house. I said: Is there not in Medina (any place for starting the business) except my house? Zubair said: Why is it that you prohibit the destitute man to start business here? So he started business and he (earned so much) that we sold our slave-girl to him There came Zubair to me while the money was in my lap. He said: Give this to me. I said: (I intend) to spend it as charity.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْغُبَرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ أَنَّ أَسْمَاءَ قَالَتْ كُنْتُ أَخْدُمُ الزُّبَيْرَ خِدْمَةَ الْبَيْتِ وَكَانَ لَهُ فَرَسٌ وَكُنْتُ أَسُوسُهُ فَلَمْ يَكُنْ مِنْ الْخِدْمَةِ شَيْءٌ أَشَدَّ عَلَيَّ مِنْ سِيَاسَةِ الْفَرَسِ كُنْتُ أَحْتَشُّ لَهُ وَأَقُومُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَسُوسُهُ قَالَ ثُمَّ إِنَّهَا أَصَابَتْ خَادِمًا جَاءَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَبْيٌ فَأَعْطَاهَا خَادِمًا قَالَتْ كَفَتْنِي سِيَاسَةَ الْفَرَسِ فَأَلْقَتْ عَنِّي مَئُونَتَهُ فَجَاءَنِي رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا أُمَّ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ إِنِّي رَجُلٌ فَقِيرٌ أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَبِيعَ فِي ظِلِّ دَارِكِ قَالَتْ إِنِّي إِنْ رَخَّصْتُ لَكَ أَبَى ذَاكَ الزُّبَيْرُ فَتَعَالَ فَاطْلُبْ إِلَيَّ وَالزُّبَيْرُ شَاهِدٌ فَجَاءَ فَقَالَ يَا أُمَّ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ إِنِّي رَجُلٌ فَقِيرٌ أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَبِيعَ فِي ظِلِّ دَارِكِ فَقَالَتْ مَا لَكَ بِالْمَدِينَةِ إِلَّا دَارِي فَقَالَ لَهَا الزُّبَيْرُ مَا لَكِ أَنْ تَمْنَعِي رَجُلًا فَقِيرًا يَبِيعُ فَكَانَ يَبِيعُ إِلَى أَنْ كَسَبَ فَبِعْتُهُ الْجَارِيَةَ فَدَخَلَ عَلَيَّ الزُّبَيْرُ وَثَمَنُهَا فِي حَجْرِي فَقَالَ هَبِيهَا لِي قَالَتْ إِنِّي قَدْ تَصَدَّقْتُ بِهَا

ابن ابی ملیکہ نے کہا کہ حضرت اسماء رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ میں گھر کی خدمات سر انجام دےکر حضرت زبیر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کی خدمت کرتی تھی ، ان کا ایک گھوڑاتھا ، میں اس کی دیکھ بھال کرتی تھی ، میرے لیے گھر کی خدمات میں سے گھوڑے کی نگہداشت سے بڑھ کر کوئی اورخدمت زیادہ سخت نہ تھی ۔ میں اس کے لئے چارہ لاتی ، اس کی ہرضرورت کا خیال رکھتی اور اس کی نگہداشت کرتی ، کہا : پھر انھیں ایک خادمہ مل گئی ، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس کچھ قیدی آئے تو آپ نے ان کے لئے ایک خادمہ عطا کردی ۔ کہا : اس نے مجھ سے گھوڑے کی نگہداشت ( کی ذمہ داری ) سنبھال لی اور مجھ سے بہت بڑا بوجھ ہٹا لیا ۔ میرے پاس ایک آدمی آیا اور کہا : ام عبداللہ! میں ایک فقیر آدمی ہوں : میرا دل چاہتاہے ہے کہ میں آپ کے گھر کے سائے میں ( بیٹھ کرسودا ) بیچ لیاکروں ۔ انھوں نے کہا : اگر میں نے تمھیں اجازت دے دی تو زبیر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ انکار کردیں گے ۔ جب زبیر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ موجود ہوں تو ( اس وقت ) آکر مجھ سے اجازت مانگنا ، پھر وہ شخص ( حضرت زبیر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کی موجودگی میں ) آیا اور کہا : ام عبداللہ! میں ایک فقیرآدمی ہوں اور چاہتاہوں کہ میں آپ کے گھر کے سائے میں ( بیٹھ کر کچھ ) بیچ لیاکروں ، انھوں ( حضرت اسماء رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا ) نے جواب دیا : مدینے میں تمھارے لئے میرے گھر کے سوا اور کوئی گھر نہیں ہے ؟تو حضرت زبیر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے ان سے کہا : تمھیں کیا ہوا ہے ، ایک فقیر آدمی کو سودا بیچنے سے روک رہی ہو؟وہ بیچنے لگا ، یہاں تک کہ اس نے کافی کمائی کرلی ، میں نے وہ خادمہ اسے بیچ دی ۔ زبیر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ اند رآئے تو اس خادمہ کی قیمت میری گود میں پڑی تھی ، انھوں نے کہا ، یہ مجھے ہبہ کردو ۔ تو انھوں نے کہا : میں اس کو صدقہ کرچکی ہوں ۔

Ibn Umar reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: When there are three (persons), two should not converse secretly between themselves to the exclusion of the (third) one.

Abdullah reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: If you are three, two amongst you should not converse secretly between yourselves to the exclusion of the other (third one), unti some other people join him (and dispel his loneliness), for it may hurt his feelings.

Abdullah reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: If you are three, two should not converse secretly to the exclusion of your companion for that hurts his feelings.

A'isha (the wife of Allah's Apostle) said: When Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) fell ill, Gabriel used to recite this: In the name of Allah, may He cure you from all kinds of illnesses and safeguard you from the evil of a jealous one when he feels jealous and from the evil influence of eye.
