Abu Waqid al-Laith reported that Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) was sitting in the mosque along wish tome people when there came to him three persons; two of them stepped forward to the direction of Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ), and one of them went away. The two stood by the side of Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ), and one of them found a space in his circle and he sat in that; and the other one sat behind him and the third one went away. When Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) had finished his work, he said. Should I not inform you about these three persons? One of them sought refuge with Allah and Allah gave him refuge and the second one felt shy and Allah showed kindness to has shyness (and so he was accommodated in that meeting), and the last one reverted and Allah turned away His attention from him.

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ فِيمَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِ عَنْ إِسْحَقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ أَنَّ أَبَا مُرَّةَ مَوْلَى عَقِيلِ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ أَبِي وَاقِدٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَمَا هُوَ جَالِسٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ وَالنَّاسُ مَعَهُ إِذْ أَقْبَلَ نَفَرٌ ثَلَاثَةٌ فَأَقْبَلَ اثْنَانِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَذَهَبَ وَاحِدٌ قَالَ فَوَقَفَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَمَّا أَحَدُهُمَا فَرَأَى فُرْجَةً فِي الْحَلْقَةِ فَجَلَسَ فِيهَا وَأَمَّا الْآخَرُ فَجَلَسَ خَلْفَهُمْ وَأَمَّا الثَّالِثُ فَأَدْبَرَ ذَاهِبًا فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَلَا أُخْبِرُكُمْ عَنْ النَّفَرِ الثَّلَاثَةِ أَمَّا أَحَدُهُمْ فَأَوَى إِلَى اللَّهِ فَآوَاهُ اللَّهُ وَأَمَّا الْآخَرُ فَاسْتَحْيَا فَاسْتَحْيَا اللَّهُ مِنْهُ وَأَمَّا الْآخَرُ فَأَعْرَضَ فَأَعْرَضَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ

امام مالک بن انس نے اسحاق بن عبداللہ بن ابی طلحہ سےروایت کی کہ عقیل بن ابی طالب کے آذاد کردہ غلام ابو مرہ نے انھیں حضرت ابو واقد لیثی رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کرتے ہوئے خبر دی کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم مسجد میں بیٹھے تھے اور لوگ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ تھے ، اتنے میں تین آدمی آئے ، دو تو سیدھے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آئے اور ایک چلا گیا ۔ وہ دو جو آئے ان میں سے ایک نے مجلس میں جگہ خالی پائی تو وہ وہاں بیٹھ گیا اور دوسرا لوگوں کے پیچھے بیٹھا اور تیسرا تو پیٹھ پھیر کر چل دیا ۔ جب رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم فارغ ہوئے تو فرمایا کیا میں تم سے تین آدمیوں کا حال نہ کہوں؟ ایک نے تو اللہ کے پاس ٹھکانہ لیا تو اللہ نے اس کو جگہ دی اور دوسرے نے ( لوگوں میں گھسنے کی ) شرم کی تو اللہ نے بھی اس سے شرم کی اور تیسرے نے منہ پھیرا تو اللہ نے بھی اس سے منہ پھیر لیا ۔

Ibn 'Umar reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) having said: None of you should make another one stand in the meeting and then occupy his place.

Ibn 'Umar reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: No person should ask another person to stand at his place and then he should himself sit there, but he should simply say: Make room and accommodate.

This hadith has been reported on the authority of Ibn 'Umar through another chain of transmitters. but with a slight variation of wording.

Ibn 'Umar reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: None should make one'& brother stand and then sit at his place (and it was common with) Ibn Umar that when any person stood in the company (with a view to making room for him) he did not sit there.
