Translation

Anas b. Malik reported to them (his companions) that Allah's Messnger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) had granted concession to Abd al-Rahman b. *Anf and Zubair b. 'Awwam for the wearing of a silk shirt during the journey and because of itch which they both had or any other disease from which both of them had been suffering.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ أَنَّ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ أَنْبَأَهُمْ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَخَّصَ لِعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ وَالزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْعَوَّامِ فِي الْقُمُصِ الْحَرِيرِ فِي السَّفَرِ مِنْ حِكَّةٍ كَانَتْ بِهِمَا أَوْ وَجَعٍ كَانَ بِهِمَا

ابو اسامہ نے ہمیں سعید بن ابی عروبہ سے حدیث بیان کی ، کہا : قتادہ نے ہمیں حدیث سنائی کہ انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے انھیں بتا یا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے حضرت عبد الرحمان بن عوف اور حضرت زبیر بن عوام رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو ایک سفر میں خارش کی بنا پر یا کسی اور تکلیف کی بنا پر جو انھیں لا حق ہو گئی تھی ۔ ریشم پہننے کی اجازت مرحمت فرمائی ۔ ( حالات میں یہی مداوامیسر تھا ۔ )

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Sa'd with the same chain of transmitters but there is no mention of the word journey .

Anas reported that Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) granted concession, or Zubair b. Awwam and 'Abd Al-Rahman b. Auf were granted concession, for the wearing of silk because of the itch that they both had.

Anas b. Malik reported that 'Abd al-Rahman b. Auf and Zu'bair. b. 'Awwam complained to Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) about lice; he granted them concession to wear shirts of silk.

Abdullah b. 'Amr b. al-As reported: Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) saw me wearing two clothes dyed in saffron. whereupon he said: These are the clothes (usually worn by) the non-believers, so do not wear them.
