This hadith has been reported on the authority of Ibn Hashim with the same chain of transmitters but with a slight variation of wording.

و حَدَّثَنَاه ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْفَزَارِيُّ ح و حَدَّثَنَاه إِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَدْرٍ شُجَاعُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ كِلَاهُمَا عَنْ هَاشِمِ بْنِ هَاشِمٍ بِهَذَا الْإِسْنَادِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ وَلَا يَقُولَانِ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

مروان بن معاویہ فرازی اور ابو بدر شجاع بن ولید دونوں نے ہاشم بن ہاشم سے ، اسی سند کے ساتھ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اسی کے مانند روایت کی ۔ وہ دونوں یہ نہیں کہتے : میں نے نبی کرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا ۔

Sa'id b. Zaid reported: I heard Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: Truffles are a kind of blessing and their juice is a medicine for the eyes. Shu'ba said: When Hakam narrated this hadith to me, I did not deem it as a Munkar hadith because of the narration of Abd al-Malik.
