Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported that Allah's Messenger ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) prohibited eating of the flesh of domestic asses on the Day of Khaibar, and permitted the cooking of the flesh of horses.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، وَأَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الْعَتَكِيُّ، وَقُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَاللَّفْظُ لِيَحْيَى، قَالَ يَحْيَى: أَخْبَرَنَا، وقَالَ الْآخَرَانِ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ الْأَهْلِيَّةِ، وَأَذِنَ فِي لُحُومِ الْخَيْلِ»
محمد بن علی نے حضرت جا بر بن عبد اللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ جنگ خیبر کے دن رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پالتوگدھوں کا گوشت کھا نے سے منع فر ما یا اور گھوڑوں کا گوشت کھانے کی اجازت عطاکی ۔
