Jabir b. Abdullah (Allah be pleased with them) reported Allah's Apostle ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: Life grant is the heritage of one upon whom it is conferred.
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبٍ الْحَارِثِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْحَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: «الْعُمْرَى مِيرَاثٌ لِأَهْلِهَا

'Abdullah b. 'Umar (Allah be pleased with them) said: Ever since I heard Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) say this I have not spent a night without having my will (written) along with me.
