Yahya b. Sa'id (Allah be pleased with him) reported: I said to Abu Salih: Did you hear Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) making a mention of the excellence of prayer in the mosque of Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم )? He said: No (I did not hear directly from Abu Huraira), but I heard Abdullah b. Ibrahlm b. Qariz; say that' he had heard from Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) that Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) had said: Prayer in this mosque of mine is better than a thousand prayers. or. is like one thousand prayers observed in other mosques besides It, except that it be in al-Masjid al-Haram.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، جَمِيعًا عَنِ الثَّقَفِيِّ، قَالَ ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ سَعِيدٍ، يَقُولُ: سَأَلْتُ أَبَا صَالِح، هَلْ سَمِعْتَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَذْكُرُ فَضْلَ الصَّلَاةِ فِي مَسْجِدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ فَقَالَ: لَا، وَلَكِنْ أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ قَارِظٍ؛ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يُحَدِّثُ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «صَلَاةٌ فِي مَسْجِدِي هَذَا خَيْرٌ مِنْ أَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ - أَوْ كَأَلْفِ صَلَاةٍ - فِيمَا سِوَاهُ مِنَ الْمَسَاجِدِ، إِلَّا أَنْ يَكُونَ الْمَسْجِدَ الْحَرَامَ»،

عبد الوہاب نے ہمیں حدیث بیان کی کہا ، میں نے یحییٰ بن سعید کو کہتے ہو ئے سنا کہ میں نے ابو صا لح سے پوچھا : کیا آپ نے حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی مسجد میں نماز پڑھنے کی فضیلت بیان کرتے ہو ئے سنا ہے؟ انھوں نے کہا : نہیں البتہ مجھے عبد اللہ بن ابرا ہیم بن قارظ نے بتا یا کہ انھوں نے حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے سنا ، وہ حدیث بیان کر رہے تھے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فر ما یا : میری اس مسجد میں ایک نماز اس کے سوا ( دوسری ) مسجدوں کی ایک ہزار نمازوں سے بہتر ۔ ۔ ۔ یا فر ما یا : ایک ہزار نمازوں کی طرح ہے ۔ ۔ ۔ الایہ کہ وہ مسجد حرا م ہو

Ibn 'Umar (Allah be pleased with them) reported Allah's Apostle ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: Prayer in this mosque of mine is better than a thousand prayers (observed in other mosque.) besides it, except that of Masjid al-Haram.

Ibn Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) reported that a woman fell ill and she said: In case Allah cures me I will certainly go and observe prayer in Bait al-Maqdis. She recovered and so she made preparations to go out (to that place). She came to Maimuna. the wife of Allah's Apostle ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ). and after greeting her she informed her about it, whereupon she said: Stay here. and eat the provision (which you had made) and observe prayer In the mosque of the Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ). for I heard Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) say: Prayer In it is better than a thousand prayers observed in other mosques except the mosque of the Ka'ba.
