Sufyan b. Abd Zuhair reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: Syria will be conquered and some people will go out of Medina along with their families driving their camels. and Medina is better for them if they were to know it. Then Yemen will be conquered and some people will go out of Medina along with their families driving their camels, and Medina is better for them if they were to know it. Then Iraq will be conquered and some people will go out of it along with their families driving their camels, and Medina is better for them if they were to know it.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ أَبِي زُهَيْرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «تُفْتَحُ الشَّامُ، فَيَخْرُجُ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ قَوْمٌ بِأَهْلِيهِمْ يَبُسُّونَ، وَالْمَدِينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ، ثُمَّ تُفْتَحُ الْيَمَنُ فَيَخْرُجُ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ قَوْمٌ بِأَهْلِيهِمْ يَبُسُّونَ، وَالْمَدِينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ، ثُمَّ تُفْتَحُ الْعِرَاقُ، فَيَخْرُجُ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ قَوْمٌ بِأَهْلِيهِمْ يَبُسُّونَ، وَالْمَدِينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ»
  وکیع نے ہمیں ہشام بن عروہ سے حدیث بیان کی ، انھوں نے اپنے والد سے ، انھوں نے عبداللہ بن زبیر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے ، انھوں نے سفیان بن ابی زہیر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی ، انھوں نے کہا ، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " شام فتح کرلیا جائے گا تو کچھ لوگ انتہائی تیزی سے اونٹ ہانکتے ہوئے اپنے اہل وعیال سمیت مدینہ سے نکل جائیں گے ، حالانکہ مدینہ ان کے لیے بہتر ہوگا اگر وہ جانتے ہوں ۔ پھر یمن فتح ہوگا تو کچھ لوگ تیز رفتاری سے اونٹ ہانکتے ہوئے اپنے اہل وعیال سمیت مدینہ سے نکل جائیں گے ، حالانکہ مدینہ ان کے لئے بہتر ہوگا اگر وہ جانتے ہوں ، پھر عراق فتح ہوگا تو کچھ تیزی سے اونٹ ہانکتے ہوئے اپنے اہل وعیال سمیت مدینہ سے نکل جائیں گے حالانکہ مدینہ ان کے لئے بہتر ہوگا اگر وہ جانتے ہوں ۔ "

Salid b. Musayyib heard Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) say that 'Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said about Medina: Its inhabitants will abandon it, whereas it is good for them and it will become the haunt of beasts and birds. (Imam Muslim said that Abu Safwan, one of the narrators whose name was 'Abdullah b. 'Abd al-Malik, was an orphan and I bn juraij took him under his care for ten years.)

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) heard Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) say: They (the residents of) Medina will abandon Medina whereas it is good for them and it will be haunted by beasts and birds, and two shepherds will come out from Muzainah intending (to go) towards Medina and tending their herd, and will find nothing but wilderness there until when they will reach the mountain path of Wada, they will fall down on their faces.
