Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported: Abu Bakr Siddiq (Allah be pleased with him) sent me during Hajj before the Farewell Pilgrimage for which Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) had appointed him an Amir, among a group of people whom he had ordered to make announcement to the people on the Day of Nahr: After this year no polytheist may perform the Pilgrimage and no naked person may circumambulate the House. Ibn Shihab stated that Humaid b. Abd al-Rahman said that according to this narration of Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) the day of Hajj al-Akbar (Great Hajj) is this Day of Nahr (10th of Dhu'l-Hijja).

حَدَّثَنِي هَارُونُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَيْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرٌو، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ح وحَدَّثَنِي حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى التُّجِيبِيُّ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونسُ، أَنَّ ابْنَ شِهَابٍ، أَخْبَرَهُ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: بَعَثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقُ فِي الْحَجَّةِ الَّتِي أَمَّرَهُ عَلَيْهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَبْلَ حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ، فِي رَهْطٍ، يُؤَذِّنُونَ فِي النَّاسِ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ: «لَا يَحُجُّ بَعْدَ الْعَامِ مُشْرِكٌ، وَلَا يَطُوفُ بِالْبَيْتِ عُرْيَانٌ»، قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ: فَكَانَ حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ يَقُولُ يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ: يَوْمُ الْحَجِّ الْأَكْبَرِ مِنْ أَجْلِ حَدِيثِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عمرو ( بن حارث ) نے ابن شہاب سے ، انھوں نے حمید بن عبدالرحمان ( بن عوف ) سے خبردی ، انھوں نے حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی ، نیز بونس ( بن یزید ایلی ) نے ابن شہاب سے اسی سندکے ساتھ حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی ، انھوں نے کہا : حضرت ابو بکر صدیق رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے مجھے اس حج میں جس میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے حجۃ الوداع سے پہلے انھیں امیر بنایا تھا ، ایک چھوٹی جماعت کے ساتھ روانہ کیا کہ وہ لوگ قربانی کے دن لوگوں میں ( یہ ) اعلان کریں کہ اس سال کے بعد کوئی مشرک حج نہیں کرے گا اور نہ کوئی برہنہ شخص بیت اللہ کا طواف کرے گا ۔ ابن شہاب نے کہا : حمید بن عبدالرحمان ( بن عوف ) حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کی حدیث کی بنا پر کہاکرتے تھے : قربانی کا دن ہی حج اکبر کا دن ہے ۔

A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: There is no day when God sets free more servants from Hell than the Day of 'Arafa. He draws near, then praises them to the angels, saying: What do these want?

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: An Umra is an expiation for the sins committed between it and the next, and Hajj which is accepted will receive no other reward than Paradise.

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) through another chain of transmitters.

Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying. He who came to this House (Ka'ba) (with the intention of performing Pilgrimage), and neither spoke indecently nor did he act wickedly. would return (free from sin) as on the (very first day) his mother bore him.
