Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) rerorted that Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) saw a person who was driving a sacrificial camel (and told him to ride on it. Thereupon he said: Messenger of Allah, it is a sacrificial camel. He told him again to ride on it; (when he received the same reply) he said: Woe to you, (he uttered these words on the second or the third reply).

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: قَرَأْتُ عَلَى مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَأَى رَجُلًا يَسُوقُ بَدَنَةً، فَقَالَ: «ارْكَبْهَا»، قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّهَا بَدَنَةٌ، فَقَالَ: «ارْكَبْهَا، وَيْلَكَ» فِي الثَّانِيَةِ أَوْ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ

امام مالک نے ابو زناد سے انھوں نے اعرج سے اور انھوں نے حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک آدمی کو دیکھا وہ قربانی کا اونٹ ہانک رہا ہے تو آپ نے فر ما یا : " اس پر سوار ہو جا ؤ اس نے کہا : اے اللہ کے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ! یہ قر بانی کا اونٹ ہے آپ نے فر ما یا : " تمھا ری ہلا کت !اس پر سوار ہو جاؤ ۔ دوسری یا تیسری مرتبہ ( یہ الفاظ کہے )

This hadith has been narrated by A'raj with the same chain of transmitters (and the words are): Whereas the person was driving a sacrificial camel which was garlanded.

Hammam b. Munabbih reported: It is one out of these (narrations) that Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) narrated to us from Muhammad the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ), and he narrated to us traditions out of which is that he said: When there was a person who was driving a garlanded sacrificial camel, Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said to him: Woe to you; ride on it. He said: Messenger of Allah, it is a sacrificial animal, whereupon Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: Woe to you, ride on it; woe to you, ride on it.

Anas reported that Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) happened to pass by a person who was driving a sacrificial camel, whereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: Ride on It. He said: It is a sacrificial camel. Thereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said twice or thrice: Ride on it.

Anas reported: Someone happened to pass by Allah's Apostle ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) with a sacrificial camel, or a sacrificial animal, whereupon he said: Ride on it. He said: It is a sacrificial camel, or animal, whereupon he said: (Ride) even if (it is a sacrificial camel).

Anas (Allah be pleased with him) reported: There happened to pass (a person) with a sacrificial camel by Allah's Apostle ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) and the rest of the hadith is the same.

Jabir b. 'Abdullah (Allah be pleased with them) reported that he was asked about riding on a sacrificial animal, and he said: I heard Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: Ride on it gently, when you have need for it, until you find (another) mount.
