NAfi' (Allah be pleased with him) reported: I saw'lbn 'Umar (Allah be pleased with them) touching the Stone with his hand and then kissing his hand. and he said: I have never abandoned it since I saw Allah's Messenger (way peace be upon him) doing It.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ جَمِيعًا عَنْ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، قَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَسْتَلِمُ الْحَجَرَ بِيَدِهِ، ثُمَّ قَبَّلَ يَدَهُ، وَقَالَ: مَا تَرَكْتُهُ مُنْذُ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَفْعَلُهُ

عبیداللہ نے نافع سےروایت کی کہا : میں نے حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کو دیکھا کہ وہ حجر اسود کو اپنے ہاتھوں سے چھوتے پھر اپنا ہاتھ کوچوم لیتے ۔ انھوں نے کہا : میں نے جب سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ایسا کرتے دیکھا ، اس وقت اسے ترک نہیں کیا ۔

Ibn 'Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) is reported to have said that he did not see Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) touching other than the Yamani corners.

Salim narrated on the authority of his father (Allah be pleased with him) that 'Umar b. al-Khattib (Allah be pleased with him) kissed (the Black Stone) and then said: By Allah, I know that you are a stone and if I were not to see Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) kissing you, I would not have kissed you. Harun said in his narration: A hadith like this has been transmitted to me by Zaid b. Aslam on the authority of his father Aslam.

Ibn 'Umar (Allah be pleased with them) reported that Umar (Allah be pleased with him) kissed the Stone and said: I am kissing you, whereas I know that you are a stone, but I saw Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) kissing you (that Is why I kiss you).

Abdullah b. Sarjis reported: I saw the bald one, i. e. 'Umar b. Khattib (Allah be pleased with him). kissing the Stone and saying: By Allah. I am kissing with full consciousness of the fact that you are a stone and that you can neither do any harm nor good; and if I had not seen Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) kissing you. I would not have kissed you. The rest of the hadith is the same.

Abis b. Rabi'a reported: I saw 'Umar (Allah'be pleased with him) kissing the Stone and saying: I am kissing you and I know that you are a stone. And if I had not seen Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) kissing you, I would not have kissed you.

Suwaid b. Ghafala reported: I saw Umar (Allah be pleased with him) kissing the Stone and clinging to it and saying: I saw Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) having great love for you.
