Nafi' reported on the authority of Ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with them) that when Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) circumambulated the House, while observing the first circumambulation, he walked swiftly in three (circuits), and walked in four circuits, and ran in the bottom of the valley as he moved between al-Safa and al-Marwa. Ibn 'Umar (Allah be pleased with them) also used to do like this.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ: «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا طَافَ بِالْبَيْتِ الطَّوَافَ الْأَوَّلَ، خَبَّ ثَلَاثًا وَمَشَى أَرْبَعًا، وَكَانَ يَسْعَى بِبَطْنِ الْمَسِيلِ إِذَا طَافَ بَيْنَ الصَّفَا وَالْمَرْوَةِ» وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ

عبید اللہ نے نافع سے انھوں نے حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے حدیث بیان کی کہ اللہ کے رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب بیت اللہ کا پہلا طواف کرتے تو تین چکر چھوٹے چھوٹے قدموں سے کندھے ہلا ہلا کر تیز چلتے ہو ئے لگاتے اورچا ر چکر چل کر لگا تے اور جب صفا مروہ کے چکر لگا تے تو وادی کی ترا ئی میں دوڑتے ۔ اور ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بھی ایسا ہی کیا کرتے تھے ۔

Abdullah b. 'Umar (Allah be pleased with them) reported: I saw that when Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) came to Mecca and kissed the Black Stone, (in the first circumambulation) he moved quickly in three circuits out of seven circuits.

Nafi' reported on the authority of Ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with them) that Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) walked swiftly from stone to stone in three circuits and walked (normally) in four.
