Ataa reported: I heard Ibn Abbas (Allah be pleased with him) narrating to us that Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said to a woman of the Ansar (Ibn Abbas had mentioned her name but I have forgotten it): 'What has prevented you that you do not perform Hajj along with us? She said: We have only two camels for carrying water. One of the camels has been taken by my husband and my son for performing Hajj and one has been left for us for carrying water, whereupon he (the Holy Prophet) said: So when the month of Ramadan come, perform Umra, for'Umra in this (month) is equal to Hajj (in reward).
وحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمِ بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، يُحَدِّثُنَا قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: لِامْرَأَةٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ سَمَّاهَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ فَنَسِيتُ اسْمَهَا «مَا مَنَعَكِ أَنْ تَحُجِّي مَعَنَا؟» قَالَتْ: لَمْ يَكُنْ لَنَا إِلَّا نَاضِحَانِ فَحَجَّ أَبُو وَلَدِهَا وَابْنُهَا عَلَى نَاضِحٍ وَتَرَكَ لَنَا نَاضِحًا نَنْضِحُ عَلَيْهِ، قَالَ: «فَإِذَا جَاءَ رَمَضَانُ فَاعْتَمِرِي، فَإِنَّ عُمْرَةً فِيهِ تَعْدِلُ حَجَّةً»
  ابن جریج نے کہا : مجھے عطا ء نے خبر دی کہا : میں نے ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے سنا وہ ہمیں ھدیث بیان کر رہے تھے ۔ کہا اللہ کے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ایک انصار یہ عورت سے فرمایا ۔ ۔ ۔ ابن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے اس کا نام بتا یا تھا لیکن میں بھول گیا ہوں ۔ ۔ ۔ ۔ تمھیں ہمارے ساتھ حج کرنے سے کس بات نے روک دیا ؟اس نے جواب دیا : ہمارے پاس پانی ڈھونے والے دو ہی اونٹ تھے ۔ ایک پر اس کے بیٹے کا والد ( شوہر ) اور بیٹا حج پر چلے گئے ہیں اور ایک اونٹ ہمارے لیے چھوڑ گئے ہم اس پر پانی ڈھوتے ہیں ۔ آپ نے فرمایا : " جب رمضان آئے تو تم عمرہ کرلینا کیونکہ اس ( رمضان ) میں عمرہ کرنا حج کے برابر ہے ۔

Ibn Abbis reported that Allah's Apostle ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said to a woman of the Ansar who was called Umm Sinan: What has prevented you that you did not perform Hajj with us? She said: The father of so and so (i. e. her husband) had only two camels. One of them had been taken away by him (my busbard) and his son for Hajj, whereas the other one is used by our boy to carry water. Upon this he (the Holy Prophet) said: Umra during the month of Rawadin would suffice for Hajj or Hajj along with me.

Ibn 'Umar reported that Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) used to come out (of Medina) by way of al-Shajarah and entered it by the way of al-Mu'arras and whenever he entered Mecca, he entered it from the upper side and went out of it from the lower side.

Ibn Umar (Allah be pleased with him) reported that Allah's Messenger may peace be upon him) spent the night at Dhi Tuwa till it was dawn and then entered Mecca. 'Abdullah (b. 'Umar) himself did like it. And in the narration transmitted by Ibn Sa'ld (the words are): Until he obrerved the dawn prayer. Yahya (another narrator) said: Until it was dawn.
