Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: No Sadaqa is payable on less than five fiqiyas of silver, and on less than five heads of camels, and less than five wasqs of dates.

حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ وَهَارُونُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْأَيْلِيُّ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عِيَاضُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسِ أَوَاقٍ مِنْ الْوَرِقِ صَدَقَةٌ وَلَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسِ ذَوْدٍ مِنْ الْإِبِلِ صَدَقَةٌ وَلَيْسَ فِيمَا دُونَ خَمْسَةِ أَوْسُقٍ مِنْ التَّمْرِ صَدَقَةٌ

حضرت جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے خبردی کہ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " پانچ اوقیہ سے کم چاندی میں صدقہ نہیں اور نہ پانچ اونٹوں سے کم میں صدقہ ہے اور نہ ہی پانچ وسق سے کم کھجوروں میں صدقہ ہے ۔ "

Jabir b. Abdullah reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: A tenth is payable on what is watered by rivers, or rains, and a twentieth on what is watered by camels.

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as saying: There is no Sadaqa on a slave except Sadaqat-ul-Fitr.

Abu Huraira reported that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) sent Umar for (collecting) Sadaqa (zakat), and it was said that Ibn Jamil, Khalid b. Walid and 'Abbas the uncle of the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ), refused (to pay it). Upon this the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: Ibn Jamil is taking revenge but for this that he was destitute and Allah made him rich. As regards Khalid, you are unjust to Khalid, for be reserved his armours and weapons for the sake of Allah, and as for 'Abbas, I shall be responsible for it and an equal amount along with it. And he again said: 'Umar, bear this in mind, the uncle of a person is like his father.
