A'isha reported: The Apostle of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) prayed in a garment which had designs over it, so he (the Holy Prophet) said: Take it to Abu Jahm and bring me a plain blanket from him, because its designs have distracted me.

حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، ح قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ - وَاللَّفْظُ لِزُهَيْرٍ - قَالُوا: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلَّى فِي خَمِيصَةٍ لَهَا أَعْلَامٌ، وَقَالَ: «شَغَلَتْنِي أَعْلَامُ هَذِهِ فَاذْهَبُوا بِهَا إِلَى أَبِي جَهْمٍ، وَأْتُونِي بِأَنْبِجَانِيَّةٍ»

) سفیان بن عیینہ نے ہمیں حدیث بیان کی ، انھوں نے زہری سے ، انھوں نعروہ سے اور انھوں نے حضرت عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت کی کہ نبی اکرم ﷺ نے بیل بوٹوں والی ایک منقش چادر میں نماز پڑھی اور فرمایا : ’’ اس کے بیل بوٹوں نے مجھے مشغول کر دیا تھا ، اسے ابو جہم کے پاس لے جاؤ اور ( اس کے بدلے ) مجھے انبجانی چادر لا دو ۔ ‘ ‘

A'isha reported: The Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) stood for prayer with a garment which had designs over it. He looked at these designs and after completing the prayer said: Take this garment to Abu Jahm b. Hudhaifa and bring me a blanket for it has distracted me just now.

A'isha reported: The Apostle of Allah (way peace be upon him) had a garment which had designs upon it and this distracted him in prayer. He gave it to Abu Jahm and took a plain garment in its place which is known anbijaniya.

Anas b. Malik reported: The Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: When the supper is brought before you, and it is also the time to say prayer, first take food before saying evening prayer and do not hasten (to prayer, leaving aside the food).

Ibn 'Umar reported: The Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: When the supper is served to any one of you and the prayer also begins. (in such a case) first take supper, and do not make haste (for prayer) till you have (taken the food).
