Abu Dharr reported: The Messenger of 'Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: When any one of you stands for prayer and there is a thing before him equal to the back of the saddle that covers him and in case there is not before him (a thing) equal to the back of the saddle, his prayer would be cut off by (passing of an) ass, woman, and black Dog. I said: O Abu Dharr, what feature is there in a black dog which distinguish it from the red dog and the yellow dog? He said: O, son of my brother, I asked the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) as you are asking me, and he said: The black dog is a devil.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ، ح قَالَ: وَحَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ يُونُسَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِذَا قَامَ أَحَدُكُمْ يُصَلِّي، فَإِنَّهُ يَسْتُرُهُ إِذَا كَانَ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِثْلُ آخِرَةِ الرَّحْلِ، فَإِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِثْلُ آخِرَةِ الرَّحْلِ، فَإِنَّهُ يَقْطَعُ صَلَاتَهُ الْحِمَارُ، وَالْمَرْأَةُ، وَالْكَلْبُ الْأَسْوَدُ» قُلْتُ: يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ، مَا بَالُ الْكَلْبِ الْأَسْوَدِ مِنَ الْكَلْبِ الْأَحْمَرِ مِنَ الْكَلْبِ الْأَصْفَرِ؟ قَالَ: يَا ابْنَ أَخِي، سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَمَا سَأَلْتَنِي فَقَالَ: «الْكَلْبُ الْأَسْوَدُ شَيْطَانٌ»

۔ یونس نے حمید بن ہلال سے ، انہوں نے عبد اللہ بن صامت سے اور انہوں نے حضرت ابو ذر ( غفاری ) ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ سے روایت کی ، انہوں نے کہا : رسول اللہ ﷺ نے فرمایا : ’’ جب تم میں سے کوئی نماز کے لیے کھڑا ہو جب اس کے سامنے پالان کی پچھلی لکڑی کے برابر کوئی چیز ہو گی تو وہ اسے سترہ مہیا کرے گی ، اور جب اس کے سامنے پالان کی پچھلی لکڑی کے برابر کوئی چیز نہ ہو گی تو گدھا ، عورت اور سیاہ کتا اس کی نماز کو قطع کریں گے ۔ ‘ ‘ میں نے کہا : اے ابو ذر! سیاہ کتے کی لال کتے یا زرد کتے سے تخصیص کیوں ہے؟ انہوں نے کہا : بھتیجے! میں نے بھی رسول اللہﷺ سے یہی سوال کیا تھا جو تم نے مجھ سے کیا ہے تو آپ نے فرمایا تھا : ’’ سیاہ کتا شیطان ہوتا ہے ۔ ‘ ‘

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: A woman, an ass and a dog disrupt the prayer, but something like the back of a saddle guards against that.

A'isha reported: The Prophet ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) used to pray at night while I lay interposed between him and the Qibla like a corpse on the bier.

A'isha reported: The Apostle of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said his whole prayer (Tahajjud prayer) during the night while I lay between him and the Qibla. When he intended to say Witr (prayer) he awakened me and I too said witr (prayer).

Urwa b. Zubair reported: 'A'isha asked: What disrupts the prayer? We said: The woman and the ass. Upon this she remarked: Is the woman an ugly animal? I lay in front of the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) like the bier of a corpse and he said prayer.

Masruq reported: It was mentioned before'A'isha that prayer is invalidated (in case of passing) of a dog, an ass and a woman (before the worshipper, when he is not screened). Upon this 'A'isha said: You likened us to the asses and the dogs. By Allah I saw the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) saying prayer while I lay on the bedstead interposing between him and the Qibla. When I felt the need, I did not like to wit to front (of the Holy Prophet) and perturb the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) and quietly moved out from under its (i. e. of the bedstead) legs.
