Rabi'a b. Ka'b said: I was with Allah's Messenger ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) one night. and I brought him water and what he required. He said to me: Ask (anything you like). I said: I ask your company in Paradise. He (the Holy Prophet) said: Or anything else besides it. I said: That is all (what I require). He said: Then help me to achieve this for you by devoting yourself often to prostration.

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى أَبُو صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هِقْلُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الْأَوْزَاعِيَّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي رَبِيعَةُ بْنُ كَعْبٍ الْأَسْلَمِيُّ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ أَبِيتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِوَضُوئِهِ وَحَاجَتِهِ فَقَالَ لِي: «سَلْ» فَقُلْتُ: أَسْأَلُكَ مُرَافَقَتَكَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ. قَالَ: «أَوْ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ» قُلْتُ: هُوَ ذَاكَ. قَالَ: «فَأَعِنِّي عَلَى نَفْسِكَ بِكَثْرَةِ السُّجُودِ

حضرت ربیعہ بن کعب ( بن مالک ) اسلمی ‌رضی ‌اللہ ‌عنہ ‌ ‌ نے کہا : میں ( خدمت کے لیے ) رسول اللہﷺ کے ساتھ ( صفہ میں آپ کے قریب ) رات گزارا کرتا تھا ، ( جب آپ تہجد کے لیے اٹھتے تو ) میں وضو کا پانی اور دوسری ضروریات لے کر آپ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوتا ۔ ( ایک مرتبہ ) آپ نے مجھے فرمایا : ’’ ( کچھ ) مانگو ۔ ‘ ‘ تو میں نے عرض کی : میں آپ سے یہ چاہتا ہوں کہ جنت میں بھی آپ کی رفاقت نصیب ہو ۔ آپ نے فرمایا : ’’یا اس کے سوا کچھ اور؟ ‘ ‘ میں نے عرض کی : بس یہی ۔ تو آپ نے فرمایا : ’’تم اپنے معاملے میں سجدوں کی کثرت سے میری مدد کرو ۔ ‘ ‘

Ibn 'Abbas reported: The Apostle of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) had been commanded that he should prostrate on the seven (bones) and he was forbidden to fold back the hair and clothing. And in the narration transmitted by Abu Rabi' (the words are): on the seven bones and I was forbidden to fold back the hair and clothing . According to Abu'l-Rabi' (the seven bones are): The hands, the knees, and the (extremities) of the feet and the forehead.

Ibn 'Abbas reported from the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ): I was commanded to prostrate myself on seven bones and not to fold back clothing or hair.

Ibn Abbas reported that the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: I have been commanded to prostrate myself on seven bones: forehead, and then pointed with his hand towards his nose, hands, feet, and the extremities of the feet; and we were forbidden to fold back clothing and hair.

Ibn Abbas reported: The Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) said: I was commanded to prostrate myself on the seven (bones) and forbidden to fold back hair and clothing. (The seven bones are): forehead, nose, hands, knees and feet.

It was narrated from Al-'Abbas bin 'Abdul Muttalib that he heard the Messenger of Allah ( صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ) say: When a person prostates, he prostates on seven part of the body: His face, his hands, his knees and his feet.
