Narrated Usama bin Zaid: We were with the Prophet when suddenly there came to him a messenger from one of his daughters who was asking him to come and see her son who was dying. The Prophet said (to the messenger), Go back and tell her that whatever Allah takes is His, and whatever He gives is His, and everything with Him has a limited fixed term (in this world). So order her to be patient and hope for Allah's reward. But she sent the messenger to the Prophet again, swearing that he should come to her. So the Prophet got up, and so did Sa`d bin 'Ubada and Mu`adh bin Jabal (and went to her). When the child was brought to the Prophet his breath was disturbed in his chest as if it were in a water skin. On that the eyes of the Prophet became flooded with tears, whereupon Sa`d said to him, O Allah's Apostle! What is this? The Prophet said, This is mercy which Allah has put in the heart of His slaves, and Allah bestows His mercy only on those of His slaves who are merciful (to others).

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النُّعْمَانِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذْ جَاءَهُ رَسُولُ إِحْدَى بَنَاتِهِ يَدْعُوهُ إِلَى ابْنِهَا فِي الْمَوْتِ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : ارْجِعْ إِلَيْهَا فَأَخْبِرْهَا أَنَّ لِلَّهِ مَا أَخَذَ وَلَهُ مَا أَعْطَى وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ عِنْدَهُ بِأَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى ، فَمُرْهَا فَلْتَصْبِرْ وَلْتَحْتَسِبْ ، فَأَعَادَتِ الرَّسُولَ أَنَّهَا قَدْ أَقْسَمَتْ لَتَأْتِيَنَّهَا ، فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَامَ مَعَهُ سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ وَمُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ ، فَدُفِعَ الصَّبِيُّ إِلَيْهِ وَنَفْسُهُ تَقَعْقَعُ كَأَنَّهَا فِي شَنٍّ ، فَفَاضَتْ عَيْنَاهُ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ سَعْدٌ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، مَا هَذَا ؟ ، قَالَ : هَذِهِ رَحْمَةٌ جَعَلَهَا اللَّهُ فِي قُلُوبِ عِبَادِهِ ، وَإِنَّمَا يَرْحَمُ اللَّهُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الرُّحَمَاءَ .

ہم سے ابوالنعمان نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے حماد بن زید نے بیان کیا، ان سے عاصم احول نے، ان سے ابوعثمان نہدی نے اور ان سے اسامہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ ہم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس تھے کہ آپ کی ایک صاحبزادی زینب کے بھیجے ہوئے ایک شخص آپ کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوئے کہ ان کے لڑکے جاں کنی میں مبتلا ہیں اور وہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو بلا رہی ہیں۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان سے فرمایا کہ تم جا کر انہیں بتا دو کہ اللہ ہی کا سب مال ہے جو چاہے لے لے اور جو چاہے دیدے اور اس کی بارگاہ میں ہر چیز کے لیے ایک وقت مقرر ہے پس ان سے کہو کہ صبر کریں اور اس پر صبر ثواب کی نیت سے کریں۔ صاحبزادی نے دوبارہ آپ کو قسم دے کر کہلا بھیجا کہ آپ ضرور تشریف لائے۔ چنانچہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کھڑے ہوئے اور آپ کے ساتھ سعد بن معاذ اور معاذ بن جبل رضی اللہ عنہما بھی کھڑے ہوئے ( پھر جب آپ صاحبزادی کے گھر پہنچے تو ) بچہ آپ کو دیا گیا اور اس کی سانس اکھڑ رہی تھی جیسے پرانی مشک کا حال ہوتا ہے۔ یہ دیکھ کر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی آنکھوں میں آنسو بھر آئے۔ اس پر سعد رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا: یا رسول اللہ! یہ کیا ہے؟ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ یہ رحمت ہے جو اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنے بندوں کے دلوں میں رکھی ہے اور اللہ بھی اپنے انہیں بندوں پر رحم کرتا ہے جو رحم دل ہوتے ہیں۔

Narrated Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari: The Prophet said, None is more patient than Allah against the harmful and annoying words He hears (from the people): They ascribe children to Him, yet He bestows upon them health and provision .

Narrated Ibn `Umar: The Prophet said, The keys of the unseen are five and none knows them but Allah: (1) None knows (the sex) what is in the womb, but Allah: (2) None knows what will happen tomorrow, but Allah; (3) None knows when it will rain, but Allah; (4) None knows where he will die, but Allah (knows that); (5) and none knows when the Hour will be established, but Allah.

Narrated Masruq: `Aisha said, If anyone tells you that Muhammad has seen his Lord, he is a liar, for Allah says: 'No vision can grasp Him.' (6.103) And if anyone tells you that Muhammad has seen the Unseen, he is a liar, for Allah says: None has the knowledge of the Unseen but Allah.

Narrated `Abdullah: We used to pray behind the Prophet and used to say: As-Salamu 'Al-Allah. The Prophet said, Allah himself is As-Salam (Name of Allah), so you should say: 'at-Tahiyatu lil-laihi was- sala-watu wattaiyibatu, as-sallamu 'Alasia aiyuha-n-nabiyyu wa rahrmatu-l-lahi wa barak-atuhu, As-salamu 'alaina wa 'ala 'ibaldi-l-lahi as-salihin. Ashhadu an la ilaha il-lallah, wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan `Abduhu wa rasuluhu. '

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, On the Day of Resurrection Allah will hold the whole earth and fold the heaven with His right hand and say, 'I am the King: where are the kings of the earth? '

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: The Prophet used to say, I seek refuge (with YOU) by Your 'Izzat, None has the right to be worshipped but You Who does not die while the Jinns and the human beings die.
