Narrated Ata: I heard Jabir bin `Abdullah in a gathering saying, We, the companions of Allah's Apostle assumed the state of Ihram to perform only Hajj without `Umra. Jabir added, The Prophet arrived (at Mecca) on the fourth of Dhul-Hijja. And when we arrived (in Mecca) the Prophet ordered us to finish the state of Ihram, saying, Finish your lhram and go to your wives (for sexual relation). Jabir added, The Prophet did not oblige us (to go to our wives) but he only made that legal for us. Then he heard that we were saying, When there remains only five days between us and the Day of `Arafat he orders us to finish our Ihram by sleeping with our wives in which case we will proceed to `Arafat with our male organs dribbling with semen?' (Jabir pointed out with his hand illustrating what he was saying). Allah's Apostle stood up and said, 'You (People) know that I am the most Allah-fearing, the most truthful and the best doer of good deeds (pious) from among you. If I had not brought the Hadi with me, I would have finished my Ihram as you will do, so finish your Ihram. If I had formerly known what I came to know lately, I would not have brought the Hadi with me.' So we finished our Ihram and listened to the Prophet and obeyed him. (See Hadith No. 713, Vol. 2)

حَدَّثَنَا الْمَكِّيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ عَطَاءٌ ، قَالَ جَابِرٌ ، قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد اللَّهِ ، وَقَالَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ البُرْسَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فِي أُنَاسٍ مَعَهُ ، قَالَ : أَهْلَلْنَا أَصْحَابَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْحَجِّ خَالِصًا لَيْسَ مَعَهُ عُمْرَةٌ ، قَالَ عَطَاءٌ : قَالَ جَابِرٌ : فَقَدِمَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صُبْحَ رَابِعَةٍ مَضَتْ مِنْ ذِي الْحِجَّةِ ، فَلَمَّا قَدِمْنَا أَمَرَنَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نَحِلَّ ، وَقَالَ : أَحِلُّوا وَأَصِيبُوا مِنَ النِّسَاءِ ، قَالَ عَطَاءٌ ، قَالَ جَابِرٌ : وَلَمْ يَعْزِمْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَكِنْ أَحَلَّهُنَّ لَهُمْ ، فَبَلَغَهُ أَنَّا نَقُولُ : لَمَّا لَمْ يَكُنْ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْن عَرَفَةَ إِلَّا خَمْسٌ أَمَرَنَا أَنْ نَحِلَّ إِلَى نِسَائِنَا ، فَنَأْتِي عَرَفَةَ تَقْطُرُ مَذَاكِيرُنَا الْمَذْيَ ، قَالَ : وَيَقُولُ جَابِرٌ بِيَدِهِ هَكَذَا وَحَرَّكَهَا ، فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : قَدْ عَلِمْتُمْ أَنِّي أَتْقَاكُمْ لِلَّهِ ، وَأَصْدَقُكُمْ وَأَبَرُّكُمْ ، وَلَوْلَا هَدْيِي لَحَلَلْتُ كَمَا تَحِلُّونَ ، فَحِلُّوا ، فَلَوِ اسْتَقْبَلْتُ مِنْ أَمْرِي مَا اسْتَدْبَرْتُ مَا أَهْدَيْتُ ، فَحَلَلْنَا وَسَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا .

ہم سے مکی بن ابراہیم نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابن جریج نے بیان کیا، ان سے عطاء نے بیان کیا، ان سے جابر رضی اللہ عنہ نے (دوسری سند) امام ابوعبداللہ بخاری رحمہ اللہ نے کہا کہ محمد بن بکر برقی نے بیان کیا، ان سے ابن جریج نے بیان کیا، کہا کہ مجھے عطاء نے خبر دی، انہوں نے جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا، اس وقت اور لوگ بھی ان کے ساتھ تھے، انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے صحابہ نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ خالص حج کا احرام باندھا اس کے ساتھ عمرہ کا نہیں باندھا۔ عطاء نے بیان کیا کہ جابر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ پھر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم 4 ذی الحجہ کی صبح کو آئے اور جب ہم بھی حاضر ہوئے تو آپ نے ہمیں حکم دیا کہ ہم حلال ہو جائیں اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ حلال ہو جاؤ اور اپنی بیویوں کے پاس جاؤ۔ عطاء نے بیان کیا اور ان سے جابر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہ ان پر یہ ضروری نہیں قرار دیا بلکہ صرف حلال کیا، پھر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو معلوم ہوا کہ ہم میں یہ بات ہو رہی ہے کہ عرفہ پہنچنے میں صرف پانچ دن رہ گئے ہیں اور پھر بھی نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ہمیں اپنی عورتوں کے پاس جانے کا حکم دیا ہے، کیا ہم عرفات اس حالت میں جائیں کہ مذی یا منی ہمارے ذکر سے ٹپک رہی ہو۔ عطاء نے کہا کہ جابر رضی اللہ عنہ نے اپنے ہاتھ سے اشارہ کیا کہ اس طرح مذی ٹپک رہی ہو، اس کو ہلایا۔ پھر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کھڑے ہوئے اور فرمایا، تمہیں معلوم ہے کہ میں تم میں اللہ سے سب سے زیادہ ڈرنے والا ہوں، تم میں سب سے زیادہ سچا ہوں اور سب سے زیادہ نیک ہوں اور اگر میرے پاس ہدی ( قربانی کا جانور ) نہ ہوتا تو میں بھی حلال ہو جاتا، پس تم بھی حلال ہو جاؤ۔ اگر مجھے وہ بات پہلے سے معلوم ہو جاتی جو بعد میں معلوم ہوئی تو میں قربانی کا جانور ساتھ نہ لاتا۔ چنانچہ ہم حلال ہو گئے اور ہم نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی بات سنی اور آپ کی اطاعت کی۔

Narrated `Abdullah Al Muzam: The Prophet said, Perform (an optional) prayer before Maghrib prayer. (He repeated it thrice) and the third time he said, Whoever wants to offer it can do so, lest the people should take it as a Sunna (tradition). (See Hadith No. 277, Vol. 2)

Narrated `Aisha: After the slanderers had given a forged statement against her, Allah's Apostle called `Ali bin Abi Talib and Usama bin Zaid when the Divine Inspiration was delayed. He wanted to ask them and consult them about the question of divorcing me. Usama gave his evidence that was based on what he knew about my innocence, but `Ali said, Allah has not put restrictions on you and there are many women other than her. Furthermore you may ask the slave girl who will tell you the truth. So the Prophet asked Barira (my salve girl), Have you seen anything that may arouse your suspicion? She replied, I have not seen anything more than that she is a little girl who sleeps, leaving the dough of her family (unguarded) that the domestic goats come and eat it. Then the Prophet stood on the pulpit and said, O Muslims! Who will help me against the man who has harmed me by slandering my wife? By Allah, I know nothing about my family except good. The narrator added: Then the Prophet mentioned the innocence of `Aisha. (See Hadith No. 274, Vol. 6)

Narrated Aisha: Allah's Apostle addressed the people, and after praising and glorifying Allah, he said, What do you suggest me regarding those people who are abusing my wife? I have never known anything bad about her. The sub-narrator, `Urwa, said: When `Aisha was told of the slander, she said, O Allah's Apostle! Will you allow me to go to my parents' home? He allowed her and sent a slave along with her. An Ansari man said, Subhanaka! It is not right for us to speak about this. Subhanaka! This is a great lie!

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (ra): The Prophet (saws) sent Mu'adh to Yemen.

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: When the Prophet sent Mu`adh to Yemen, he said to him, You are going to a nation from the people of the Scripture, so let the first thing to which you will invite them, be the Tauhid of Allah. If they learn that, tell them that Allah has enjoined on them, five prayers to be offered in one day and one night. And if they pray, tell them that Allah has enjoined on them Zakat of their properties and it is to be taken from the rich among them and given to the poor. And if they agree to that, then take from them Zakat but avoid the best property of the people.

Narrated Mu`adh bin Jabal: The Prophet said, O Mu`adh! Do you know what Allah's Right upon His slaves is? I said, Allah and His Apostle know best. The Prophet said, To worship Him (Allah) Alone and to join none in worship with Him (Allah). Do you know what their right upon Him is? I replied, Allah and His Apostle know best. The Prophet said, Not to punish them (if they do so).
