Narrated Ibn `Umar: The Prophet said, It is better for a man to fill the inside of his body with pus than to fill it with poetry.
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَنْظَلَةُ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : لَأَنْ يَمْتَلِئَ جَوْفُ أَحَدِكُمْ قَيْحًا خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَمْتَلِئَ شِعْرًا .
ہم سے عبیداللہ بن موسیٰ نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم کو حنظلہ نے خبر دی، انہیں سالم نے اور انہیں عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہ   نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”اگر تم میں سے کوئی شخص اپنا پیٹ پیپ سے بھرے تو یہ اس سے بہتر ہے کہ وہ اسے شعر سے بھرے۔“

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle; said, It is better for anyone of you that the inside of his body be filled with pus which may consume his body, than it be filled with poetry.

Narrated `Aisha: Allah, the brother of Abu Al-Qu'ais asked my permission to enter after the verses of Al-Hijab (veiling the ladies) was revealed, and I said, By Allah, I will not admit him unless I take permission of Allah's Apostle for it was not the brother of Al-Qu'ais who had suckled me, but it was the wife of Al-Qu'ais, who had suckled me. Then Allah's Apostle entered upon me, and I said, O Allah's Apostle! The man has not nursed me but his wife has nursed me. He said, Admit him because he is your uncle (not from blood relation, but because you have been nursed by his wife), Taribat Yaminuki. `Urwa said, Because of this reason, ' Aisha used to say: Foster suckling relations render all those things (marriages etc.) illegal which are illegal because of the corresponding blood relations. Narrated `Aisha: The Prophet intended to return home after the performance of the Hajj, and he saw Safiya standing at the entrance of her tent, depressed and sad because she got her menses. The Prophet said, Aqra Halqa! --An expression used in the Quraish dialect-- You will detain us. The Prophet then asked (her), Did you perform the Tawaf Al-Ifada on the Day of Sacrifice (10th of Dhul-Hijja)? She said, Yes. The Prophet said, Then you can leave (with us).

Narrated Um Hani: (the daughter of Abu Talib) I visited Allah's Apostle in the year of the Conquest of Mecca and found him taking a bath, and his daughter, Fatima was screening him. When I greeted him, he said, Who is it? I replied, I am Um Hani, the daughter of Abu Talib. He said, Welcome, O Um Hani ! When the Prophet had finished his bath, he stood up and offered eight rak`at of prayer while he was wrapped in a single garment. When he had finished his prayer, I said, O Allah's Apostle! My maternal brother assumes (or claims) that he will murder some man whom I have given shelter, i.e., so-and-so bin Hubaira. Allah's Apostle said, O Um Hani! We shelter him whom you have sheltered. Um Hani added, That happened in the forenoon.
