Narrated `Abdullah: I said 'O Allah's Apostle! Which sin is the greatest? He said, To set up a rival unto Allah, though He Alone created you. I said, What next? He said, To kill your son lest he should share your food with you. I further asked, What next? He said, To commit illegal sexual intercourse with the wife of your neighbor. And then Allah revealed as proof of the statement of the Prophet: 'Those who invoke not with Allah any other god)................. (to end of verse)...' (25.68)
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَيُّ الذَّنْبِ أَعْظَمُ ؟ قَالَ : أَنْ تَجْعَلَ لِلَّهِ نِدًّا وَهُوَ خَلَقَكَ قُلْتُ : ثُمَّ أَيُّ ؟ قَالَ : أَنْ تَقْتُلَ وَلَدَكَ خَشْيَةَ أَنْ يَأْكُلَ مَعَكَ قَالَ : ثُمَّ أَيُّ ؟ قَالَ : أَنْ تُزَانِيَ حَلِيلَةَ جَارِكَ وَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ تَصْدِيقَ قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالَّذِينَ لا يَدْعُونَ مَعَ اللَّهِ إِلَهًا آخَرَ سورة الفرقان آية 68 الْآيَةَ .
ہم سے محمد بن کثیر نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو سفیان ثوری نے خبر دی، انہیں منصور بن معتمر نے، انہیں ابووائل نے، انہیں عمرو بن شرحبیل نے اور ان سے عبداللہ بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ   میں نے کہا: یا رسول اللہ! کون سا گناہ سب سے بڑا ہے۔ فرمایا یہ کہ تم اللہ تعالیٰ کا کسی کو شریک بناؤ حالانکہ اسی نے تمہیں پیدا کیا ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا پھر، اس کے بعد فرمایا یہ کہ تم اپنے لڑکے کو اس خوف سے قتل کرو کہ اگر زندہ رہا تو تمہاری روزی میں شریک ہو گا۔ انہوں نے کہا اس کے بعد، نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا یہ کہ تم اپنے پڑوسی کی بیوی سے زنا کرو۔ چنانچہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے بھی نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے اس ارشاد کی تائید میں یہ آیت «والذين لا يدعون مع الله إلها آخر‏» الخ، نازل کی کہ ”اور وہ لوگ جو اللہ کے سوا کسی دوسرے معبود کو نہیں پکارتے اور نہ وہ ناحق کسی کو قتل کرتے ہیں اور نہ وہ زنا کرتے ہیں۔“

Narrated `Aisha: The Prophet took a child in his lap for Tahnik (i.e. he chewed a date in his mouth and put its juice in the mouth of the child). The child urinated on him, so he asked for water and poured it over the place of the urine.

Narrated `Aisha: I never felt so jealous of any woman as I did of Khadija, though she had died three years before the Prophet married me, and that was because I heard him mentioning her too often, and because his Lord had ordered him to give her the glad tidings that she would have a palace in Paradise, made of Qasab and because he used to slaughter a sheep and distribute its meat among her friends.
