Narrated Sa`id: Um Khalid bint Khalid bin Sa`id said, I came to Allah's Apostle along with my father and I was wearing a yellow shirt. Allah's Apostle said, Sanah Sanah! (`Abdullah, the sub-narrator said, It means, 'Nice, nice!' in the Ethiopian language. ) Um Khalid added, Then I started playing with the seal of Prophethood. My father admonished me. But Allah's Apostle said (to my father), Leave her, Allah's Apostle (then addressing me) said, May you live so long that your dress gets worn out, and you will mend it many times, and then wear another till it gets worn out (i.e. May Allah prolong your life). (The sub-narrator, `Abdullah aid, That garment (which she was wearing remained usable for a long period. ).

حَدَّثَنَا حِبَّانُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أُمِّ خَالِدٍ بِنْتِ خَالِدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَتْ : أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَعَ أَبِي وَعَلَيَّ قَمِيصٌ أَصْفَرُ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : سَنَهْ سَنَهْ ، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ : وَهِيَ بِالْحَبَشِيَّةِ حَسَنَةٌ ، قَالَتْ : فَذَهَبْتُ أَلْعَبُ بِخَاتَمِ النُّبُوَّةِ فَزَبَرَنِي أَبِي ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : دَعْهَا ، ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَبْلِي وَأَخْلِقِي ثُمَّ أَبْلِي وَأَخْلِقِي ثُمَّ أَبْلِي وَأَخْلِقِي ، قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ : فَبَقِيَتْ حَتَّى ذَكَرَ ، يَعْنِي مِنْ بَقَائِهَا .

ہم سے حبان بن موسیٰ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم کو عبداللہ بن مبارک نے خبر دی، انہیں خالد بن سعید نے، انہیں ان کے والد نے، ان سے ام خالد بنت سعید رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں اپنے والد کے ساتھ حاضر ہوئی۔ میں ایک زرد قمیص پہنے ہوئے تھی۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا، ”سنہ سنہ“ عبداللہ بن مبارک نے کہا کہ یہ حبشی زبان میں ”اچھا“ کے معنی میں ہے۔ ام خالد نے بیان کیا کہ پھر میں نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خاتم نبوت سے کھیلنے لگی تو میرے والد نے مجھے ڈانٹا لیکن نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ اسے کھیلنے دو پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ تم ایک زمانہ تک زندہ رہو گی اللہ تعالیٰ تمہاری عمر خوب طویل کرے، تمہاری زندگی دراز ہو۔ عبداللہ نے بیان کیا چنانچہ انہوں نے بہت ہی طویل عمر پائی اور ان کی طول عمر کے چرچے ہونے لگے۔

Narrated Ibn Abi Na'm: I was present when a man asked Ibn `Umar about the blood of mosquitoes. Ibn `Umar said, From where are you? The man replied. From Iraq. Ibn `Umar said, Look at that! he is asking me about the blood of Mosquitoes while they (the Iraqis ) have killed the (grand) son of the Prophet. I have heard the Prophet saying, They (Hasan and Husain) are my two sweet-smelling flowers in this world.

Narrated `Aisha: (the wife of the Prophet) A lady along with her two daughters came to me asking me (for some alms), but she found nothing with me except one date which I gave to her and she divided it between her two daughters, and then she got up and went away. Then the Prophet came in and I informed him about this story. He said, Whoever is in charge of (put to test by) these daughters and treats them generously, then they will act as a shield for him from the (Hell) Fire.

Narrated Abu Qatada: The Prophet came out towards us, while carrying Umamah, the daughter of Abi Al-As (his granddaughter) over his shoulder. He prayed, and when he wanted to bow, he put her down, and when he stood up, he lifted her up.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle kissed Al-Hasan bin `Ali while Al-Aqra' bin H`Abis at-Tamim was sitting beside him. Al-Aqra said, I have ten children and I have never kissed anyone of them, Allah's Apostle cast a look at him and said, Whoever is not merciful to others will not be treated mercifully.

Narrated `Aisha: A bedouin came to the Prophet and said, You (people) kiss the boys! We don't kiss them. The Prophet said, I cannot put mercy in your heart after Allah has taken it away from it.

Narrated `Umar bin Al-Khattab: Some Sabi (i.e. war prisoners, children and woman only) were brought before the Prophet and behold, a woman amongst them was milking her breasts to feed and whenever she found a child amongst the captives, she took it over her chest and nursed it (she had lost her child but later she found him) the Prophet said to us, Do you think that this lady can throw her son in the fire? We replied, No, if she has the power not to throw it (in the fire). The Prophet then said, Allah is more merciful to His slaves than this lady to her son.
