Narrated Qatada: l asked Anas bin Malik about the hair of Allah's Apostle. He said, The hair of Allah's Apostle was neither much straight, nor much curly, and it used to hang down till between his shoulders and his earlobes.
حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ، حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْ شَعَرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : كَانَ شَعَرُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجِلًا لَيْسَ بِالسَّبِطِ وَلَا الْجَعْدِ ، بَيْنَ أُذُنَيْهِ وَعَاتِقِهِ .
مجھ سے عمرو بن علی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے وہب بن جریر نے، کہا کہ مجھ سے میرے والد نے بیان کیا، ان سے قتادہ نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے بالوں کے متعلق پوچھا تو انہوں نے کہا کہ آپ کے بال درمیانہ تھے، نہ بالکل سیدھے لٹکے ہوئے اور نہ گھونگھریالے اور وہ کانوں اور مونڈھوں کے بیچ تک تھے۔
