Narrated Ibn `Abbas: The Prophet said, Whoever has no Izar (waist sheet), can wear trousers; and whoever has no sandals, can wear Khuffs (socks made from thick fabric or leather, but cut them short below the ankles).

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ إِزَارٌ فَلْيَلْبَسِ السَّرَاوِيلَ ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ نَعْلَانِ فَلْيَلْبَسْ خُفَّيْنِ .

ہم سے محمد بن یوسف فریابی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے سفیان ثوری نے بیان کیا، ان سے عمرو بن دینار نے، ان سے جابر بن زید نے اور ان سے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ جس کے پاس احرام باندھنے کے لیے تہبند نہ ہو وہ پاجامہ پہن لے ( اس کا کاٹنا ضروری نہیں ہے ) اور جس کے پاس جوتے نہ ہوں وہ موزے ہی پہن لے لیکن ٹخنوں کے نیچے تک ان کو کاٹ ڈالے ( جیسا کہ پچھلی حدیث میں ہے ) ۔

Narrated `Aisha: The Prophet used to like starting from the right in performing ablution, combing his hair and putting on his shoes.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, If you want to put on your shoes, put on the right shoe first; and if you want to take them off, take the left one first. Let the right shoe be the first to be put on and the last to be taken off.

Narrated Isaa bin Tahman: Anas bin Malik brought out for us, two sandals having two straps. Thabit Al-Banani said, These were the sandals of the Prophet .

Narrated Abu Juhaifa: I came to the Prophet while he was inside a red leather tent, and I saw Bilal taking the remaining water of the ablution of the Prophet, and the people were taking of that water and rubbing it on their faces; and whoever could not get anything of it, would share the moisture of the hand of his companion (and then rub it on his face).
