Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, If a fly falls in the vessel of any of you, let him dip all of it (into the vessel) and then throw it away, for in one of its wings there is a disease and in the other there is healing (antidote for it) i e. the treatment for that disease.

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي تَيْمٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ حُنَيْنٍ مَوْلَى بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «إِذَا وَقَعَ الذُّبَابُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ، فَلْيَغْمِسْهُ كُلَّهُ، ثُمَّ لْيَطْرَحْهُ، فَإِنَّ فِي أَحَدِ جَنَاحَيْهِ شِفَاءً وَفِي الآخَرِ دَاءً».

ہم سے قتیبہ بن سعید نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے اسماعیل بن جعفر نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا ہم سے بنی تمیم کے مولیٰ عتبہ بن مسلم نے بیان کیا، ان سے بنی زریق کے مولیٰ عبید بن حنین نے بیان کیا اور ان سے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”جب مکھی تم میں سے کسی کے برتن میں پڑ جائے تو پوری مکھی کو برتن میں ڈبو دے اور پھر اسے نکال کر پھینک دے کیونکہ اس کے ایک پر میں شفاء اور دوسرے میں بیماری ہے۔“

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar: Allah's Apostle said, 'Allah will not look at the person who drags his garment (behind him) out of conceit.''

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar: The Prophet said Allah will not look, on the Day of Resurrection at the person who drags his garment (behind him) out of conceit. On that Abu Bakr said, O Allah's Apostle! One side of my Izar hangs low if I do not take care of it. The Prophet said, 'You are not one of those who do that out of conceit.

Narrated Abu Bakra: The solar eclipse occurred while we were sitting with the Prophet He got up dragging his garment (on the ground) hurriedly till he reached the mosque The people turned (to the mosque) and he offered a two-rak`at prayer whereupon the eclipse was over and he traced us and said, The sun and the moon are two signs among the signs of Allah, so if you see a thing like this (eclipse) then offer the prayer and invoke Allah till He remove that state.

Narrated Abu Juhaifa: I saw Bilal bringing a short spear (or stick) and fixing it in the ground, and then he proclaimed the Iqama of the prayer, and I saw Allah's Apostle coming out, wearing a cloak with its sleeves rolled up. He then offered a two-rak`at prayer while facing the stick, and I saw the people and animals passing in front of him beyond the stick.

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, The part of an Izar which hangs below the ankles is in the Fire.
