Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar: Two men came from the East and addressed the people who wondered at their eloquent speeches On that Allah's Apostle said. Some eloquent speech is as effective as magic.'
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، أَنَّهُ قَدِمَ رَجُلَانِ مِنَ الْمَشْرِقِ فَخَطَبَا فَعَجِبَ النَّاسُ لِبَيَانِهِمَا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِنَّ مِنَ الْبَيَانِ لَسِحْرًا ، أَوْ إِنَّ بَعْضَ الْبَيَانِ لَسِحْرٌ .
ہم سے عبداللہ بن یوسف نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ ہم کو امام مالک نے خبر دی، انہیں زید بن اسلم نے اور ان سے عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ   دو آدمی پورب کی طرف ( ملک عراق ) سے ( سنہ 9 ھ میں ) مدینہ آئے اور لوگوں کو خطاب کیا لوگ ان کی تقریر سے بہت متاثر ہوئے تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ بعض تقریریں بھی جادو بھری ہوتی ہیں یا یہ فرمایا کہ بعض تقریر جادو ہوتی ہیں۔

Narrated Saud: The Prophet said, If somebody takes some 'Ajwa dates every morning, he will not be effected by poison or magic on that day till night. (Another narrator said seven dates).

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, 'No 'Adha (i.e. no contagious disease is conveyed to others without Allah's permission); nor (any evil omen m the month of) Safar; nor Hama A bedouin said, O Allah's Apostle! What about the camels which, when on the sand (desert) look like deers, but when a mangy camel mixes with them they all get infected with mange? On that Allah s Apostle said, Then who conveyed the (mange) disease to the first (mangy) camel?
