Narrated Ibn `Abbas: Allah's Apostle said, 'Nations were displayed before me; one or two prophets would pass by along with a few followers. A prophet would pass by accompanied by nobody. Then a big crowd of people passed in front of me and I asked, Who are they Are they my followers? It was said, 'No. It is Moses and his followers It was said to me, 'Look at the horizon.'' Behold! There was a multitude of people filling the horizon. Then it was said to me, 'Look there and there about the stretching sky! Behold! There was a multitude filling the horizon,' It was said to me, 'This is your nation out of whom seventy thousand shall enter Paradise without reckoning.' Then the Prophet entered his house without telling his companions who they (the 70,000) were. So the people started talking about the issue and said, It is we who have believed in Allah and followed His Apostle; therefore those people are either ourselves or our children who are born m the Islamic era, for we were born in the Pre-lslamic Period of Ignorance.'' When the Prophet heard of that, he came out and said. Those people are those who do not treat themselves with Ruqya, nor do they believe in bad or good omen (from birds etc.) nor do they get themselves branded (Cauterized). but they put their trust (only) in their Lord On that 'Ukasha bin Muhsin said. Am I one of them, O Allah's Apostle?' The Prophet said, Yes. Then another person got up and said, Am I one of them? The Prophet said, 'Ukasha has anticipated you.

حَدَّثَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ مَيْسَرَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حُصَيْنٌ ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : لَا رُقْيَةَ إِلَّا مِنْ عَيْنٍ أَوْ حُمَةٍ ، فَذَكَرْتُهُ لِسَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ فَقَالَ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : عُرِضَتْ عَلَيَّ الْأُمَمُ فَجَعَلَ النَّبِيُّ وَالنَّبِيَّانِ يَمُرُّونَ مَعَهُمُ الرَّهْطُ ، وَالنَّبِيُّ لَيْسَ مَعَهُ أَحَدٌ حَتَّى رُفِعَ لِي سَوَادٌ عَظِيمٌ ، قُلْتُ : مَا هَذَا أُمَّتِي هَذِهِ ! قِيلَ بَلْ هَذَا مُوسَى وَقَوْمُهُ ، قِيلَ انْظُرْ إِلَى الْأُفُقِ ، فَإِذَا سَوَادٌ يَمْلَأُ الْأُفُقَ ، ثُمَّ قِيلَ لِي : انْظُرْ هَهُنَا وَهَهُنَا فِي آفَاقِ السَّمَاءِ ، فَإِذَا سَوَادٌ قَدْ مَلَأَ الْأُفُقَ ، قِيلَ هَذِهِ أُمَّتُكَ وَيَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ مِنْ هَؤُلَاءِ سَبْعُونَ أَلْفًا بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ ، ثُمَّ دَخَلَ وَلَمْ يُبَيِّنْ لَهُمْ ، فَأَفَاضَ الْقَوْمُ وَقَالُوا نَحْنُ الَّذِينَ آمَنَّا بِاللَّهِ وَاتَّبَعْنَا رَسُولَهُ فَنَحْنُ هُمْ ، أَوْ أَوْلَادُنَا الَّذِينَ وُلِدُوا فِي الْإِسْلَامِ فَإِنَّا وُلِدْنَا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ ، فَبَلَغَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَخَرَجَ ، فَقَالَ : هُمُ الَّذِينَ لَا يَسْتَرْقُونَ ، وَلَا يَتَطَيَّرُونَ ، وَلَا يَكْتَوُونَ ، وَعَلَى رَبِّهِمْ يَتَوَكَّلُونَ ، فَقَالَ عُكَاشَةُ بْنُ مِحْصَنٍ : أَمِنْهُمْ أَنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ؟ ، قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، فَقَامَ آخَرُ ، فَقَالَ : أَمِنْهُمْ أَنَا ؟ قَالَ : سَبَقَكَ بِهَا عُكَّاشَةُ .

ہم سے عمران بن میسرہ نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے محمد بن فضیل نے بیان کیا، ان سے حصین بن عبدالرحمٰن نے بیان کیا، ان سے عامر شعبی نے اور ان سے عمران بن حصین رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا کہ نظر بد اور زہریلے جانور کے کاٹ کھانے کے سوا اور کسی چیز پر جھاڑ پھونک صحیح نہیں۔ ( حصین نے بیان کیا کہ ) پھر میں نے اس کا ذکر سعید بن جبیر سے کیا تو انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ ہم سے ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ میرے سامنے تمام امتیں پیش کی گئیں ایک ایک، دو دو نبی اور ان کے ساتھ ان کے ماننے والے گزرتے رہے اور بعض نبی ایسے بھی تھے کہ ان کے ساتھ کوئی نہیں تھا آخر میرے سامنے ایک بڑی بھاری جماعت آئی۔ میں نے پوچھا یہ کون ہیں، کیا یہ میری امت کے لوگ ہیں؟ کہا گیا کہ یہ موسیٰ علیہ السلام اور ان کی قوم ہے پھر کہا گیا کہ کناروں کی طرف دیکھو میں نے دیکھا کہ ایک بہت ہی عظیم جماعت ہے جو کناروں پر چھائی ہوئی ہے پھر مجھ سے کہا گیا کہ ادھر دیکھو، ادھر دیکھو آسمان کے مختلف کناروں میں میں نے دیکھا کہ جماعت ہے جو تمام افق پر چھائی ہوئی ہے۔ کہا گیا کہ یہ آپ کی امت ہے اور اس میں سے ستر ہزار حساب کے بغیر جنت میں داخل کر دیئے جائیں گے۔ اس کے بعد آپ ( اپنے حجرہ میں ) تشریف لے گئے اور کچھ تفصیل نہیں فرمائی لوگ ان جنتیوں کے بارے میں بحث کرنے لگے اور کہنے لگے کہ ہم اللہ پر ایمان لائے ہیں اور اس کے رسول کی اتباع کی ہے، اس لیے ہم ہی ( صحابہ ) وہ لوگ ہیں یا ہماری وہ اولاد ہیں جو اسلام میں پیدا ہوئے کیونکہ ہم جاہلیت میں پیدا ہوئے تھے۔ یہ باتیں جب نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو معلوم ہوئیں تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم باہر تشریف لائے اور فرمایا کہ یہ وہ لوگ ہوں گے جو جھاڑ پھونک نہیں کراتے، فال نہیں دیکھتے اور داغ کر علاج نہیں کرتے بلکہ اپنے رب پر بھروسہ کرتے ہیں۔ اس پر عکاشہ بن محصن رضی اللہ عنہ نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! کیا میں بھی ان میں سے ہوں۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ ہاں۔ اس کے بعد دوسرے صحابی کھڑے ہوئے اور عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! میں بھی ان میں ہوں؟ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ عکاشہ تم سے بازی لے گئے۔

Narrated Um Salama: The husband of a lady died and her eyes became sore and the people mentioned her story to the Prophet They asked him whether it was permissible for her to use kohl as her eyes were exposed to danger. He said, Previously, when one of you was bereaved by a husband she would stay in her dirty clothes in a bad unhealthy house (for one year), and when a dog passed by, she would throw a globe of dung. No, (she should observe the prescribed period Idda) for four months and ten days.'

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, '(There is) no 'Adwa (no contagious disease is conveyed without Allah's permission). nor is there any bad omen (from birds), nor is there any Hamah, nor is there any bad omen in the month of Safar, and one should run away from the leper as one runs away from a lion.''

Narrated Sa`id bin Zaid: I heard the Prophet saying, Truffles are like Manna (i.e. they grow naturally without man's care) and their water heals eye diseases.
