Narrated `Aisha: The Prophet was screening me with his Rida' (garment covering the upper part of the body) while I was looking at the Ethiopians who were playing in the courtyard of the mosque. (I continued watching) till I was satisfied. So you may deduce from this event how a little girl (who has not reached the age of puberty) who is eager to enjoy amusement should be treated in this respect.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَنْظَلِيُّ ، عَنْ عِيسَى ، عَنْ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا ، قَالَتْ : رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتُرُنِي بِرِدَائِهِ وَأَنَا أَنْظُرُ إِلَى الْحَبَشَةِ يَلْعَبُونَ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ حَتَّى أَكُونَ أَنَا الَّتِي أَسْأَمُ ، فَاقْدُرُوا قَدْرَ الْجَارِيَةِ الْحَدِيثَةِ السِّنِّ الْحَرِيصَةِ عَلَى اللَّهْوِ .

ہم سے اسحاق بن ابراہیم حنظلی نے بیان کیا، ان سے عیسیٰ بن یونس نے بیان کیا، ان سے اوزاعی نے، ان سے زہری نے، ان سے عروہ نے اور ان سے عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے بیان کیا کہ میں نے دیکھا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم میرے لیے اپنی چادر سے پردہ کئے ہوئے ہیں۔ میں حبشہ کے ان لوگوں کو دیکھ رہی تھی جو مسجد میں ( جنگی ) کھیل کا مظاہرہ کر رہے تھے، آخر میں ہی اکتا گئی۔ اب تم سمجھ لو ایک کم عمر لڑکی جس کو کھیل تماشہ دیکھنے کا بڑا شوق ہے کتنی دیر تک دیکھتی رہی ہو گی۔

Narrated `Aisha: Once Sa`da bint Zam`a went out at night for some need, and `Umar saw her, and recognizing her, he said (to her), By Allah, O Sa`da! You cannot hide yourself from us. So she returned to the Prophet and mentioned that to him while he was sitting in my dwelling taking his supper and holding a bone covered with meat in his hand. Then the Divine Inspiration was revealed to him and when that state was over, he (the Prophet was saying: O women! You have been allowed by Allah to go out for your needs.

Narrated Salim's father: The Prophet said, If the wife of anyone of you asks permission to go to the mosque, he should not forbid her.

Narrated `Aisha: My foster uncle came and asked permission (to enter) but I refused to admit him till I asked Allah's Apostle about that. He said, He is your uncle, so allow him to come in. I said, O Allah's Apostle! I have been suckled by a woman and not by a man. Allah's Apostle said, He is your uncle, so let him enter upon you. And that happened after the order of Al-Hijab (compulsory veiling) was revealed. All things which become unlawful because of blood relations are unlawful because of the corresponding foster suckling relations.

Narrated `Abdullah bin Mas`ud: The Prophet said, A woman should not look at or touch another woman to describe her to her husband in such a way as if he was actually looking at her.

Narrated Abu Huraira: (The Prophet) Solomon son of (the Prophet) David said, Tonight I will go round (i.e. have sexual relations with) one hundred women (my wives) everyone of whom will deliver a male child who will fight in Allah's Cause. On that an Angel said to him, Say: 'If Allah will.' But Solomon did not say it and forgot to say it. Then he had sexual relations with them but none of them delivered any child except one who delivered a half person. The Prophet said, If Solomon had said: 'If Allah will,' Allah would have fulfilled his (above) desire and that saying would have made him more hopeful.
