Then we heard `Aisha brushing her teeth whereupon `Urwa said, O mother of the believers! Don't you hear what Abu `Abdur-Rahman is saying? He is saying that the Prophet performed four `Umra, one of which was in Rajab. `Aisha said, The Prophet did not perform any `Umra but he (i.e. Ibn `Umar) witnessed it. And he (the Prophet ) never did any `Umra in (the month of) Rajab.
ثُمَّ سَمِعْنَا اسْتِنَانَ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَ عُرْوَةُ : يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ، أَلَا تَسْمَعِينَ مَا يَقُولُ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ؟ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اعْتَمَرَ أَرْبَعَ عُمَرٍ ، فَقَالَتْ : مَا اعْتَمَرَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عُمْرَةً إِلَّا وَهُوَ شَاهِدُهُ ، وَمَا اعْتَمَرَ فِي رَجَبٍ قَطُّ .
  پھر ہم نے ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے ( اپنے گھر میں ) مسواک کرنے کی آواز سنی تو عروہ نے ان سے پوچھا: اے ایمان والوں کی ماں! آپ نے سنا ہے یا نہیں، ابوعبدالرحمٰن ( عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما ) کہتے ہیں کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے چار عمرے کئے تھے جس میں سے ایک رجب میں کیا تھا۔ ام المؤمنین رضی اللہ عنہا نے کہا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے جب بھی عمرہ کیا تو عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما آپ کے ساتھ تھے لیکن آپ نے رجب میں کوئی عمرہ نہیں کیا۔

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: When Allah's Apostle and his companions arrived (at Mecca), the pagans said, There have come to you a group of people who have been weakened by the fever of Yathrib (i.e. Medina). So the Prophet ordered his companions to do Ramal (i.e. fast walking) in the first three rounds of Tawaf around the Ka`ba and to walk in between the two corners (i.e. the black stone and the Yemenite corner). The only cause which prevented the Prophet from ordering them to do Ramal in all the rounds of Tawaf, was that he pitied them.

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: The Prophet hastened in going around the Ka`ba and between the Safa and Marwa in order to show the pagans his strength. Ibn `Abbas added, When the Prophet arrived (at Mecca) in the year of peace (following that of Al-Hudaibiya treaty with the pagans of Mecca), he (ordered his companions) to do Ramal in order to show their strength to the pagans and the pagans were watching (the Muslims) from (the hill of) Quaiqan.
