Narrated Ibn Shihab: These were the battles of Allah's Apostle (which he fought), and while mentioning (the Badr battle) he said, While the corpses of the pagans were being thrown into the well, Allah's Apostle said (to them), 'Have you found what your Lord promised true? `Abdullah said, Some of the Prophet's companions said, O Allah's Apostle! You are addressing dead people.' Allah's Apostle replied, 'You do not hear what I am saying, better than they.' The total number of Muslim fighters from Quraish who fought in the battle of Badr and were given their share of the booty, were 81 men. Az-Zubair said, When their shares were distributed, their number was 101 men. But Allah knows it better.

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُلَيْحِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، قَالَ : هَذِهِ مَغَازِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يُلْقِيهِمْ : هَلْ وَجَدْتُمْ مَا وَعَدَكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ حَقًّا ، قَالَ : مُوسَى ، قَالَ نَافِعٌ : قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ : قَالَ نَاسٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ تُنَادِي نَاسًا أَمْوَاتًا ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَا أَنْتُمْ بِأَسْمَعَ لِمَا قُلْتُ مِنْهُمْ ، قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد اللَّهِ : فَجَمِيعُ مَنْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ مِمَّنْ ضُرِبَ لَهُ بِسَهْمِهِ أَحَدٌ وَثَمَانُونَ رَجُلًا , وَكَانَ عُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ الزُّبَيْرُ : قُسِمَتْ سُهْمَانُهُمْ فَكَانُوا مِائَةً وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ .

ہم سے ابراہیم بن المنذر نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے محمد بن فلیح بن سلیمان نے بیان کیا، ان سے موسیٰ بن عقبہ نے اور ان سے ابن شہاب نے بیان کیا۔ یہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے غزوات کا بیان تھا۔ پھر انہوں نے بیان کیا کہ جب ( بدر کے ) کفار مقتولین کنویں میں ڈالے جانے لگے تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”کیا تم نے اس چیز کو پا لیا جس کا تم سے تمہارے رب نے وعدہ کیا تھا؟“ موسیٰ نے بیان کیا، ان سے نافع نے اور ان سے عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہ اس پر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے چند صحابہ نے عرض کیا: یا رسول اللہ! آپ ایسے لوگوں کو آواز دے رہے ہیں جو مر چکے ہیں؟ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”جو کچھ میں نے ان سے کہا ہے اسے خود تم نے بھی ان سے زیادہ بہتر طریقہ پر نہیں سنا ہو گا۔“ ابوعبداللہ ( امام بخاری رحمہ اللہ ) نے کہا کہ قریش ( صحابہ ) کے جتنے لوگ بدر میں شریک ہوئے تھے اور جن کا حصہ بھی ( اس غنیمت میں ) لگا تھا، ان کی تعداد اکیاسی تھی۔ عروہ بن زبیر بیان کرتے تھے کہ زبیر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا، میں نے ( ان مہاجرین کے حصے ) تقسیم کئے تھے اور ان کی تعداد سو تھی اور زیادہ بہتر علم اللہ کو ہے۔

Narrated Az-Zubair: On the day of Badr, (Quraishi) Emigrants received 100 shares of the war booty.

Narrated Ibn `Umar: Bani An-Nadir and Bani Quraiza fought (against the Prophet violating their peace treaty), so the Prophet exiled Bani An-Nadir and allowed Bani Quraiza to remain at their places (in Medina) taking nothing from them till they fought against the Prophet again) . He then killed their men and distributed their women, children and property among the Muslims, but some of them came to the Prophet and he granted them safety, and they embraced Islam. He exiled all the Jews from Medina. They were the Jews of Bani Qainuqa', the tribe of `Abdullah bin Salam and the Jews of Bani Haritha and all the other Jews of Medina.

Narrated Sa`id bin Jubair: I mentioned to Ibn `Abbas Surat-Hashr. He said, Call it Surat-an-Nadir.

Narrated Anas bin Malik: Some people used to allot some date palm trees to the Prophet as gift till he conquered Banu Quraiza and Bani An-Nadir, where upon he started returning their date palms to them.

Narrated Ibn `Umar: Allah's Apostle had the date-palm trees of Bani Al-Nadir burnt and cut down at a place called Al- Buwaira. Allah then revealed: What you cut down of the date-palm trees (of the enemy) Or you left them standing on their stems. It was by Allah's Permission. (59.5)

Narrated Ibn `Umar: The Prophet burnt the date-palm trees of Bani An-Nadir. Hassan bin Thabit said the following poetic Verses about this event:-- the terrible burning of Al-Buwaira Has been received indifferently By the nobles of Bani Luai (The masters and nobles of Quraish). Abu Sufyan bin Al-Harith (i.e. the Prophet's cousin who was still a disbeliever then) replied to Hassan, saying in poetic verses:-- May Allah bless that burning And set all its (i.e. Medina's) Parts on burning fire. You will see who is far from it (i.e. Al-Buwaira) And which of our lands will be Harmed by it (i.e. the burning of Al- Buwaira).
