Narrated Al-Bara: I heard the Prophet saying (or the Prophet said), None loves the Ansar but a believer, and none hates them but a hypocrite. So Allah will love him who loves them, and He will hate him who hates them.
حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَدِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , أَوْ قَالَ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : الْأَنْصَارُ لَا يُحِبُّهُمْ إِلَّا مُؤْمِنٌ ، وَلَا يُبْغِضُهُمْ إِلَّا مُنَافِقٌ ، فَمَنْ أَحَبَّهُمْ أَحَبَّهُ اللَّهُ ، وَمَنْ أَبْغَضَهُمْ أَبْغَضَهُ اللَّهُ .
ہم سے حجاج بن منہال نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا، مجھے عدی بن ثابت نے خبر دی، کہا کہ میں نے براء رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا وہ کہتے تھے کہ   میں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے سنا یا یوں بیان کیا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا انصار سے صرف مومن ہی محبت رکھے گا اور ان سے صرف منافق ہی بغض رکھے گا۔ پس جو شخص ان سے محبت کرے اس سے اللہ محبت کرے گا اور جو ان سے بغض رکھے گا اس سے اللہ تعالیٰ اس سے بغض رکھے گا ( معلوم ہوا کہ انصار کی محبت نشان ایمان ہے اور ان سے دشمنی رکھنا بے ایمان لوگوں کا کام ہے ) ۔

Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Prophet said, The sign of Belief is to love the Ansar, and the sign of hypocrisy is to hate the Ansar.

Narrated Abu Usaid: The Prophet said, The best of the Ansar's families (homes) are those of Banu An-Najjar and then (those of) Banu `Abdul Ash-hal, then (those of) Banu Al-Harith bin Al-Khazraj and then (those of) Banu Sa`ida; nevertheless, there is good in all the families (houses) of the Ansar. On this, Sa`d (bin Ubada) said, I see that the Prophet has preferred some people to us. Somebody said (to him), No, but he has given you superiority to many.
