Narrated Ibn `Abbas: When the Verse:-- 'And warn your tribe of near kindred.' (26.214) was revealed, the Prophet started calling (the 'Arab tribes), O Bani Fihr, O Bani `Adi mentioning first the various branch tribes of Quraish.
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ، قَالَ : لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ وَأَنْذِرْ عَشِيرَتَكَ الأَقْرَبِينَ سورة الشعراء آية 214 جَعَلَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُنَادِي يَا بَنِي فِهْرٍ يَا بَنِي عَدِيٍّ لِبُطُونِ قُرَيْشٍ .
ہم سے عمر بن حفص نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے ہمارے والد نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے اعمش نے، کہا ان سے عمرو بن مرہ نے، ان سے سعید بن جبیر نے اور ان سے عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے بیان کیا کہ   جب ( سورۃ الشعراء کی ) یہ آیت اتری «وأنذر عشيرتك الأقربين‏» ”اے پیغمبر! اپنے قریبی رشتہ داروں کو ڈرا۔“ تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے قریش کے مختلف قبیلوں کو بلایا اے بنی فہر! اے بنی عدی! جو قریش کے خاندان تھے۔

Narrated `Aisha: Once Hassan bin Thabit asked the permission of the Prophet to lampoon (i.e. compose satirical poetry defaming) the infidels. The Prophet said, What about the fact that I have common descent with them? Hassan replied, I shall take you out of them as a hair is taken out of dough. Narrated `Urwa: I started abusing Hassan in front of `Aisha, whereupon she said. Don't abuse him, for he used to defend the Prophet (with his poetry).
