Narrated Sa`id bin Al-Musaiyab: When Muawiya bin Abu Sufyan came to Medina for the last time, he delivered a sermon before us. He took out a tuft of hair and said, I never thought that someone other than the Jews would do such a thing (i.e. use false hair). The Prophet named such a practice, 'Az-Zur' (i.e. falsehood), meaning the use of false hair.
حَدَّثَنَا آدَمُ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مُرَّةَ سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ قَالَ قَدِمَ مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ الْمَدِينَةَ آخِرَ قَدْمَةٍ قَدِمَهَا، فَخَطَبَنَا فَأَخْرَجَ كُبَّةً مِنْ شَعَرٍ فَقَالَ مَا كُنْتُ أُرَى أَنَّ أَحَدًا يَفْعَلُ هَذَا غَيْرَ الْيَهُودِ، وَإِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَمَّاهُ الزُّورَ- يَعْنِي الْوِصَالَ فِي الشَّعَرِ. تَابَعَهُ غُنْدَرٌ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ.
ہم سے آدم بن ابی ایاس نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے شعبہ نے بیان کیا ان سے عمرو بن مرہ نے کہا کہ میں نے سعید بن مسیب سے سنا آپ نے بیان کیا کہ   معاویہ بن ابی سفیان رضی اللہ عنہ نے مدینہ کے اپنے آخری سفر میں ہمیں خطاب فرمایا اور ( خطبہ کے دوران ) آپ نے بالوں کا ایک گچھا نکالا اور فرمایا، میں سمجھتا ہوں کہ یہودیوں کے سوا اور کوئی اس طرح نہ کرتا ہو گا اور نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس طرح بال سنوارنے کا نام «الزور» ( فریب و جھوٹ ) رکھا ہے۔ آپ کی مراد «وصال في الشعر‏.‏» سے تھی۔ یعنی بالوں میں جوڑ لگانے سے تھی ( جیسے اکثر عورتیں مصنوعی بالوں میں جوڑ کیا کرتی ہیں ) آدم کے ساتھ اس حدیث کو غندر نے بھی شعبہ سے روایت کیا ہے۔

Narrated Kulaib: I was told by the Rabiba (i.e. daughter of the wife of the Prophet) who, I think, was Zainab, that the Prophet (forbade the utensils (of wine called) Ad-Dubba, Al-Hantam, Al-Muqaiyar and Al-Muzaffat. I said to her, 'Tell me as to which tribe the Prophet belonged; was he from the tribe of Mudar?'' She replied, He belonged to the tribe of Mudar and was from the offspring of An-Nadr bin Kinana.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, You see that the people are of different natures. Those who were the best in the pre-lslamic period, are also the best in Islam if they comprehend religious knowledge. You see that the best amongst the people in this respect (i.e. ambition of ruling) are those who hate it most.
