Translation

Arabic, english and urdu

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, The (Hell) Fire complained to its Lord saying, 'O my Lord! My different parts eat up each other.' So, He allowed it to take two breaths, one in the winter and the other in summer, and this is the reason for the severe heat and the bitter cold you find (in weather).

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ ، عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : اشْتَكَتِ النَّارُ إِلَى رَبِّهَا ، فَقَالَتْ : رَبِّ أَكَلَ بَعْضِي بَعْضًا فَأَذِنَ لَهَا بِنَفَسَيْنِ نَفَسٍ فِي الشِّتَاءِ وَنَفَسٍ فِي الصَّيْفِ ، فَأَشَدُّ مَا تَجِدُونَ مِنَ الْحَرِّ وَأَشَدُّ مَا تَجِدُونَ مِنَ الزَّمْهَرِيرِ .

ہم سے ابوالیمان نے بیان کیا کہ ہم کو شعیب نے خبر دی، ان سے زہری نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا کہ مجھ سے ابوسلمہ بن عبدالرحمٰن نے بیان کیا اور انہوں نے ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے سنا، آپ بیان کرتے تھے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”جہنم نے اپنے رب کے حضور میں شکایت کی اور کہا کہ میرے رب! میرے ہی بعض حصے نے بعض کو کھا لیا ہے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ نے اسے دو سانسوں کی اجازت دی، ایک سانس جاڑے میں اور ایک گرمی میں۔ تم انتہائی گرمی اور انتہائی سردی جو ان موسموں میں دیکھتے ہو، اس کا یہی سبب ہے۔“

Narrated Abu Jamra Ad-Dabi: I used to sit with Ibn `Abbas in Mecca. Once I had a fever and he said (to me), Cool your fever with Zamzam water, for Allah's Apostle said: 'It, (the Fever) is from the heat of the (Hell) Fire; so, cool it with water (or Zamzam water).

Narrated Rafi` bin Khadij: I heard the Prophet saying, Fever is from the heat of the (Hell) Fire; so cool it with water.

Narrated Aisha: The Prophet said, Fever is from the heat of the (Hell) Fire, so cool it with water.

Narrated Ibn `Umar: The Prophet said, Fever is from the heat of the (Hell) Fire; so abate fever with water.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, Your (ordinary) fire is one of 70 parts of the (Hell) Fire. Someone asked, O Allah's Apostle This (ordinary) fire would have been sufficient (to torture the unbelievers), Allah's Apostle said, The (Hell) Fire has 69 parts more than the ordinary (worldly) fire, each part is as hot as this (worldly) fire.

Narrated Yali: That he heard the Prophet on the pulpit reciting:-- They will cry: O Malik!' (43.77) (Malik is the gate-keeper (angel) of the (Hell) Fire.)
