Narrated Qais: Jarir bin `Abdullah said to me, Allah's Apostle said to me, 'Won't you relieve me from Dhul- Khalasa?' Dhul-Khalasa was a house where the tribe of Khatham used to stay, and it used to be called Ka`bat-ul Yamaniya. So I proceeded with one hundred-and-fifty (men) from the tribe of Ahmas who were good cavalry. I informed the Prophet that I could not sit firm on horses, so he stroke me on the chest with his hand and I noticed his finger marks on my chest. He invoked, 'O Allah! Make him firm and a guiding and rightly-guided man. Jarir set out towards that place, dismantled and burnt it, and then sent the good news to Allah's Apostle . The messenger of Jarir said to Allah's Apostle. O Allah's Apostle! By Him Who has sent you with the Truth, I did not come to you till it (i.e. the house) had been turned (black) like a scabby camel (covered with tar). So the Prophet invokes Allah to Bless the horses of the men of Ahmas five times.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي قَيْسٌ ، قَالَ : قَالَ لِي : جَرِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَلَا تُرِيحُنِي مِنْ ذِي الْخَلَصَةِ وَكَانَ بَيْتًا فِيهِ خَثْعَمُ يُسَمَّى كَعْبَةَ الْيَمَانِيَةِ فَانْطَلَقْتُ فِي خَمْسِينَ وَمِائَةٍ مِنْ أَحْمَسَ وَكَانُوا أَصْحَابَ خَيْلٍ ، فَأَخْبَرْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنِّي لَا أَثْبُتُ عَلَى الْخَيْلِ فَضَرَبَ فِي صَدْرِي حَتَّى رَأَيْتُ أَثَرَ أَصَابِعِهِ فِي صَدْرِي ، فَقَالَ : اللَّهُمَّ ثَبِّتْهُ وَاجْعَلْهُ هَادِيًا مَهْدِيًّا ، فَانْطَلَقَ إِلَيْهَا فَكَسَرَهَا وَحَرَّقَهَا فَأَرْسَلَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُبَشِّرُهُ ، فَقَالَ : رَسُولُ جَرِيرٍ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ، يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، وَالَّذِي بَعَثَكَ بِالْحَقِّ مَا جِئْتُكَ حَتَّى تَرَكْتُهَا كَأَنَّهَا جَمَلٌ أَجْرَبُ ، فَبَارَكَ عَلَى خَيْلِ أَحْمَسَ وَرِجَالِهَا خَمْسَ مَرَّاتٍ ، قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ : بَيْتٌ فِي خَثْعَمَ .

ہم سے محمد بن مثنیٰ نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے یحییٰ قطان نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا ہم سے اسماعیل بن ابوخالد نے بیان کیا ‘ کہا کہ مجھ سے قیس بن ابی حازم نے بیان کیا، انہوں نے کہا مجھ سے جریر بن عبداللہ بجلی رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ مجھ سے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ”ذی الخلصہ ( یمن کے کعبے ) کو تباہ کر کے مجھے کیوں خوش نہیں کرتے۔“ یہ ذی الخلصہ ( یمن کے قبیلہ ) خثعم کا بت کدہ تھا ( کعبے کے مقابل بنایا تھا ) جسے کعبۃ الیمانیہ کہتے تھے۔ چنانچہ میں ( اپنے قبیلہ ) احمس کے ڈیڑھ سو سواروں کو لے کر تیار ہو گیا۔ یہ سب اچھے شہسوار تھے۔ پھر میں نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے عرض کیا کہ میں گھوڑے پر اچھی طرح سے جم نہیں پاتا تو آپ نے میرے سینے پر ( دست مبارک ) مارا اور میں نے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی انگلیوں کا نشان اپنے سینے پر دیکھا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے پھر یہ دعا دی «اللهم ثبته واجعله هاديا مهديا ‏ ‏‏.‏ فانطلق إليها فكسرها وحرقها» ”اے اللہ! اسے گھوڑے پر جما دے اور اسے صحیح راستہ دکھانے والا بنا دے اور خود اسے بھی راہ پایا ہوا کر دے۔“ پھر جریر رضی اللہ عنہ مہم پر روانہ ہوئے اور ذی الخلصہ کو توڑ کر جلا دیا اس کے بعد نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں خوشخبری بھجوائی جریر رضی اللہ عنہ کے قاصد ( حسین بن ربیعہ ) نے ( خدمت نبوی میں ) حاضر ہو کر عرض کیا یا رسول اللہ! اس ذات پاک کی قسم جس نے آپ کو سچا پیغمبر بنا کر مبعوث فرمایا میں اس وقت تک آپ کی خدمت میں حاضر نہیں ہوا جب تک وہ بت کدہ جل کر ایسا ( سیاہ ) نہیں ہو گیا جیسا خارش والا بیمار اونٹ سیاہ ہوا کرتا ہے۔ یہ سن کر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے قبیلہ احمس کے سواروں اور ان کے پیدل جوانوں کے لیے پانچ مرتبہ برکت کی دعا فرمائی مسدد نے اس حدیث میں یوں کہا ذی الخلصہ خثعم قبیلے میں ایک گھر تھا۔

Narrated Ibn `Abbas: The Prophet said, on the day of the Conquest of Mecca, There is no migration (after the Conquest), but Jihad and good intentions, and when you are called for Jihad, you should immediately respond to the call.

Narrated Abu `Uthman An-Nahdi: Mujashi (bin Mas`ud) took his brother Mujalid bin Musud to the Prophet and said, This is Mujalid and he will give a pledge of allegiance to you for migration. The Prophet said, There is no migration after the Conquest of Mecca, but I will take his pledge of allegiance for Islam.

Narrated `Ata': I and 'Ubai bin `Umar went to `Aisha while she was staying near Thabir (i.e. a mountain). She said, There is no Migration after Allah gave His Prophet victory over Mecca.

Narrated Sa`d bin 'Ubaida: Abu `Abdur-Rahman who was one of the supporters of `Uthman said to Abu Talha who was one of the supporters of `Ali, I perfectly know what encouraged your leader (i.e. `Ali) to shed blood. I heard him saying: Once the Prophet sent me and Az-Zubair saying, 'Proceed to such-and-such Ar-Roudah (place) where you will find a lady whom Hatib has given a letter. So when we arrived at Ar-Roudah, we requested the lady to hand over the letter to us. She said, 'Hatib has not given me any letter.' We said to her. 'Take out the letter or else we will strip off your clothes.' So she took it out of her braid. So the Prophet sent for Hatib, (who came) and said, 'Don't hurry in judging me, for, by Allah, I have not become a disbeliever, and my love to Islam is increasing. (The reason for writing this letter was) that there is none of your companions but has relatives in Mecca who look after their families and property, while I have nobody there, so I wanted to do them some favor (so that they might look after my family and property).' The Prophet believed him. `Umar said, 'Allow me to chop off his (i.e. Hatib's) neck as he has done hypocrisy.' The Prophet said, (to `Umar), 'Who knows, perhaps Allah has looked at the warriors of Badr and said (to them), 'Do whatever you like, for I have forgiven you.' `Abdur-Rahman added, So this is what encouraged him (i.e. `Ali).

Narrated Ibn Abi Mulaika: Ibn Az-Zubair said to Ibn Ja`far Do you remember when I, you and Ibn `Abbas went out to receive Allah's Apostle? Ibn Ja`far replied in the affirmative. Ibn Az-Zubair added, And Allah's Apostle made us (i.e. I and Ibn `Abbas) ride along with him and left you.
