Narrated Anas: The Prophet reached Khaibar in the morning, while the people were coming out carrying their spades over their shoulders. When they saw him they said, This is Muhammad and his army! Muhammad and his army! So, they took refuge in the fort. The Prophet raised both his hands and said, Allahu Akbar, Khaibar is ruined, for when we approach a nation (i.e. enemy to fight) then miserable is the morning of the warned ones. Then we found some donkeys which we (killed and) cooked: The announcer of the Prophet announced: Allah and His Apostle forbid you to eat donkey's meat. So, all the pots including their contents were turned upside down.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ ، قَالَ : صَبَّحَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَيْبَرَ وَقَدْ خَرَجُوا بِالْمَسَاحِي عَلَى أَعْنَاقِهِمْ فَلَمَّا رَأَوْهُ ، قَالُوا : هَذَا مُحَمَّدٌ وَالْخَمِيسُ ، مُحَمَّدٌ وَالْخَمِيسُ فَلَجَئُوا إِلَى الْحِصْنِ ، فَرَفَعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدَيْهِ ، وَقَالَ : اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ خَرِبَتْ خَيْبَرُ إِنَّا إِذَا نَزَلْنَا بِسَاحَةِ قَوْمٍ فَسَاءَ صَبَاحُ الْمُنْذَرِينَ ، وَأَصَبْنَا حُمُرًا فَطَبَخْنَاهَا فَنَادَى مُنَادِي النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ يَنْهَيَانِكُمْ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ ، فَأُكْفِئَتِ الْقُدُورُ بِمَا فِيهَا تَابَعَهُ عَلِيٌّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ رَفَعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدَيْهِ .

ہم سے عبداللہ بن محمد مسندی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے سفیان بن عیینہ نے بیان کیا، ان سے ایوب سختیانی نے، ان سے محمد بن سیرین نے اور ان سے انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ صبح ہوئی تو نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم خیبر میں داخل تھے۔ اتنے میں وہاں کے رہنے والے ( یہودی ) پھاوڑے اپنی گردنوں پر لیے ہوئے نکلے۔ جب نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو ( مع آپ کے لشکر کے ) دیکھا تو چلا اٹھے کہ یہ محمد لشکر کے ساتھ ( آ گئے ) محمد لشکر کے ساتھ، محمد لشکر کے ساتھ! ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) چنانچہ وہ سب بھاگ کر قلعہ میں پناہ گزیں ہو گئے۔ اس وقت نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنے ہاتھ اٹھائے اور نعرہ تکبیر بلند فرمایا، ساتھ ہی ارشاد ہوا کہ خیبر تو تباہ ہو چکا۔ کہ جب کسی قوم کے آنگن میں ہم اتر آتے ہیں تو ڈرائے ہوئے لوگوں کی صبح بری ہو جاتی ہے۔ اور انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ ہم کو گدھے مل گئے، اور ہم نے انہیں ذبح کر کے پکانا شروع کر دیا کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے منادی نے یہ پکارا کہ اللہ اور اس کے رسول تمہیں گدھے کے گوشت سے منع کرتے ہیں۔ چنانچہ ہانڈیوں میں جو کچھ تھا سب الٹ دیا گیا۔ اس روایت کی متابعت علی نے سفیان سے کی ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اپنے دونوں ہاتھ اٹھائے تھے۔

Narrated Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari: We were in the company of Allah's Apostle (during Hajj). Whenever we went up a high place we used to say: None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, and Allah is Greater, and our voices used to rise, so the Prophet said, O people! Be merciful to yourselves (i.e. don't raise your voice), for you are not calling a deaf or an absent one, but One Who is with you, no doubt He is All-Hearer, ever Near (to all things).

Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah: Whenever we went up a place we would say, Allahu--Akbar (i.e. Allah is Greater) , and whenever we went down a place we would say, Subhan Allah.

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Umar: Whenever the Prophet returned from the Hajj or the `Umra or a Ghazwa, he would say Takbir thrice. Whenever he came upon a mountain path or wasteland, and then he would say, None has the right to be worshipped but Allah, Alone Who has no partner. All the Kingdom belongs to Him and all the praises are for Him and He is Omnipotent. We are returning with repentance, worshipping, prostrating ourselves and praising our Lord. Allah fulfilled His Promise, granted victory to His slave and He Alone defeated all the clans.

Narrated Ibrahim Abu Isma`il As-Saksaki: I heard Abu Burda who accompanied Yazid bin Abi Kabsha on a journey. Yazid used to observe fasting on journeys. Abu Burda said to him, I heard Abu Musa several times saying that Allah's Apostle said, 'When a slave falls ill or travels, then he will get reward similar to that he gets for good deeds practiced at home when in good health.

Narrated Jabir bin `Abdullah: On the day of the battle of the Trench, the Prophet wanted somebody from amongst the people to volunteer to be a reconnoitre. Az-Zubair volunteered. He demanded the same again and Az-Zubair volunteered again. Then he repeated the same demand (thrice) and AzZubair volunteered once more. The Prophet then said, Every prophet has a disciple and my disciple is Az-Zubair.
