Narrated `Abdullah bin Abi `Aufa: Allah's Apostle said, Know that Paradise is under the shades of swords.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَبِي النَّضْرِ مَوْلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ وَكَانَ كَاتِبَهُ ، قَالَ : كَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي أَوْفَى رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ تَحْتَ ظِلَالِ السُّيُوفِ ، تَابَعَهُ الْأُوَيْسِيُّ ، عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ .
ہم سے عبداللہ بن محمد نے بیان کیا ‘ انہوں نے کہا ہم سے معاویہ بن عمرو نے بیان کیا ‘ انہوں نے کہا ہم سے ابواسحاق نے بیان کیا موسیٰ بن عقبہ سے ‘ ان سے عمر بن عبیداللہ کے مولیٰ سالم ابوالنضر نے سالم عمر بن عبیداللہ کے کاتب بھی تھے بیان کیا کہ   عبداللہ بن ابی اوفی رضی اللہ عنہ نے عمر بن عبیداللہ کو لکھا تھا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ہے یقین جانو جنت تلواروں کے سائے کے نیچے ہے۔ اس روایت کی متابعت اویسی نے ابن ابی الزناد کے واسطہ سے کی ان سے موسیٰ بن عقبہ نے بیان کیا۔

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Apostle said, Once Solomon, son of David said, '(By Allah) Tonight I will have sexual intercourse with one hundred (or ninety-nine) women each of whom will give birth to a knight who will fight in Allah's Cause.' On that a (i.e. if Allah wills) but he did not say, 'Allah willing.' Therefore only one of those women conceived and gave birth to a half-man. By Him in Whose Hands Muhammad's life is, if he had said, Allah willing', (he would have begotten sons) all of whom would have been knights striving in Allah's Cause.

Narrated Muhammad bin Jubair: Jubair bin Mut`im told me that while he was in the company of Allah's Apostle with the people returning from Hunain, some people (bedouins) caught hold of the Prophet and started begging of him so much so that he had to stand under a (kind of thorny tree (i.e. Samurah) and his cloak was snatched away. The Prophet stopped and said, Give me my cloak. If I had as many camels as these thorny trees, I would have distributed them amongst you and you will not find me a miser or a liar or a coward.

Narrated `Amr bin Maimun Al-Audi: Sa`d used to teach his sons the following words as a teacher teaches his students the skill of writing and used to say that Allah's Apostle used to seek Refuge with Allah from them (i.e. the evils) at the end of every prayer. The words are: 'O Allah! I seek refuge with You from cowardice, and seek refuge with You from being brought back to a bad stage of old life and seek refuge with You from the afflictions of the world, and seek refuge with You from the punishments in the grave.'
