Narrated Al-Mughira bin Shu`ba: Once Allah's Apostle went out to answer the call of nature and I followed him with a tumbler containing water, and when he finished, I poured water and he performed ablution and passed wet hands over his Khuffs (socks made from thick fabric or leather).
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، عَنِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ لِحَاجَتِهِ ، فَاتَّبَعَهُ الْمُغِيرَةُ بِإِدَاوَةٍ فِيهَا مَاءٌ فَصَبَّ عَلَيْهِ حِينَ فَرَغَ مِنْ حَاجَتِهِ فَتَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ .
ہم سے عمرو بن خالد الحرانی نے بیان کیا، کہا ہم سے لیث نے یحییٰ بن سعید کے واسطے سے نقل کیا، وہ سعد بن ابراہیم سے، وہ نافع بن جبیر سے وہ عروہ ابن المغیرہ سے وہ اپنے باپ مغیرہ بن شعبہ سے روایت کرتے ہیں وہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے نقل کرتے ہیں۔   ( ایک دفعہ ) آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم رفع حاجت کے لیے باہر گئے تو مغیرہ پانی کا ایک برتن لے کر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پیچھے گئے، جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم قضاء حاجت سے فارغ ہو گئے تو مغیرہ نے ( آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو وضو کراتے ہوئے ) آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ( کے اعضاء مبارکہ ) پر پانی ڈالا۔ آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے وضو کیا اور موزوں پر مسح فرمایا۔

Narrated Suwaid bin Al-Nu`man: In the year of the conquest of Khaibar I went with Allah's Apostle till we reached Sahba, a place near Khaibar, where Allah's Apostle offered the `Asr prayer and asked for food. Nothing but saweeq was brought. He ordered it to be moistened with water. He and all of us ate it and the Prophet got up for the evening prayer (Maghrib prayer), rinsed his mouth with water and we did the same, and he then prayed without repeating the ablution.
