The companions of the Prophet (p.b.u.h) used to tell him their dreams that (Laila-tul-Qadr) was on the 27th of the month of Ramadan. The Prophet said, I see that your dreams agree on the last ten nights of Ramadan and so whoever is in search of it should seek it in the last ten nights of Ramadan.

وَكَانُوا لَا يَزَالُونَ يَقُصُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الرُّؤْيَا ، أَنَّهَا فِي اللَّيْلَةِ السَّابِعَةِ مِنَ الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَرَى رُؤْيَاكُمْ قَدْ تَوَاطَأَتْ فِي الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ ، فَمَنْ كَانَ مُتَحَرِّيهَا فَلْيَتَحَرَّهَا مِنَ الْعَشْرِ الْأَوَاخِرِ .

بہت سے صحابہ رضوان اللہ علیہم اجمعین نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اپنے خواب بیان کئے کہ شب قدر ( رمضان کی ) ستائیسویں رات ہے۔ اس پر نبی کریم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا کہ میں دیکھ رہا ہوں کہ تم سب کے خواب رمضان کے آخری عشرے میں ( شب قدر کے ہونے پر ) متفق ہو گئے ہیں۔ اس لیے جسے شب قدر کی تلاش ہو وہ رمضان کے آخری عشرے میں ڈھونڈے۔

Narrated `Aisha;: Allah's Apostle offered the `Isha' prayer (and then got up at the Tahajjud time) and offered eight rak`at and then offered two rak`at while sitting. He then offered two rak`at in between the Adhan and Iqama (of the Fajr prayer) and he never missed them.
